Read moreWhat a delicious vegetarian restaurant in Hartsdale/White Plains! With the best of authentic Mumbai dishes…..Mumbai creates its own versions of taste and flavors for cuisines from different parts of India. We heard of this restaurant from a friend and suffice it is to say that we are planning to come again and taste every item on the menu
In our first visit, we tried vegetable chops and dhokla and we literally licked the plates. Then we tried Utthapam and Madras vegetables with whole wheat deep fried puris (similar to kulcha but with whole wheat flour). Again, we cleaned the plates
Lastly, we tried Gajar Halwa, rice kheer and kulfi. Gajar halwa is “out of this world” (my wife’s words and I didn’t get to even taste it). Kheer was classic but too sweet. Kulfi…it’s authentic homemade taste.
So we now have a great restaurant in the central Westchester that provides both fast good , lunch and dinner menus that we can pick fingers while eating! Check them out. All good restaurants need patrons to...
Read moreThis is such a good spot, it might be my new favorite place in Westchester for good Indian. The dishes are well crafted and really unique. We started with the Gobi, which was flavorful and had the perfect light crunch on the fried cauliflower. 10/10 - can’t wait to get it again. Don’t be afraid of it being marked spicy, it was not spicy at all. Then we had the Samosa chat and the Vegetable Madras. Both were very different from each other but equally delicious. The chat was an awesome mix of sweet and savory with a mixture of different flavors and textures. Super delicious. Finally we tried 3 desserts, the Kulfi, Gajar and Kheer. All 3 were excellent, and subtly sweet as is typical in Indian cuisine. Finally I had some chai and my husband had mango lassi. Both were very good and I can’t wait to try the other lassi flavors next time. I hope this place does well as I can see this being a hot spot in Westchester for amazing...
