I just re-visited this place yesterday at 3:00pm. more than half of the bread cabinets were empty, and not a single bread. Whatever bread they had in the center display case were all stale.
While Paris Baguette started in Korea as a Korean-bakery. there is nothing Korean about this place. None of the breads have that, "super light, airy" pastry feeling that Korean (and Japanese) Pastries are famous for. Not a single red-bean product on display.
I bought a mochi donut, a fruit pastry, and creme brulee pastry. All three were hard and stale. Had to try microwaving them to make the mochi donut edible, but we threw it out after 2 bites.
Save your money.
------------review from years ago----------- It is bit sad that I am changing my review from five starts to a one star. I am leaving my original review (truncated because it hit character limit) below this one. This place was great... 4 months ago when it opened. I don't think a Korean bakery necessarily needs to have Korean bakers or workers, but... The workers here clearly have no idea what Korean bakery bread is supposed to taste like and how the service is supposed to be.
After enjoying what seems to be the most authentic breads and cakes to actual K-bakeries in Seoul, South Korea and Flushing NYC, I went to this place two weeks ago to find:
The shelf where they keep loaves of breads (milk break, etc) were completely empty. This was 2 pm in the afternoon. The croquettes and the mochi donuts were drenched and dripping with oil. Korean fried foods and pastries are supposed to have a light texture, not drenched in oil. The non-korean employees at the counter could care less if there was a line. One girl was eating bread and munching. Maybe she was on break, but she was just standing behind the counter, eating bread, while other employees were trying to run around her.
I decided to maybe not give them ~$100 every visit. So I did not go. Then I went in again TODAY (3/19). This is what I noticed:
The shelf where they keep the loaves of their milk bread were completely empty again. I asked if they are out of bread. The guy who was the cashier did not say much. This was 3:45 in the afternoon, not a time when they are about to close. I purchased the croquettes and a mochi donut (my wife's favorite), and hash brown bread. Not only were the croquettes and donut once again drenched in oil, the oil tasted clearly OLD. I squeezed the donut and drops of oil were coming out, gross. So not only did they not keep to the tradition of light, airy fried pastry in the ways of French-inspired Korean bakery, they actually added the nasty taste of old oil. There were only two people behind the counter (and I noticed that there is no longer a line out the door, obviously people realized the fall of the quality). When I asked about the milk bread loaves not being there, I noticed a guy behind the glass in the kitchen, standing there eating a sandwich, standing in the middle of the kitchen... Do these managers/owner not give these folks a break where they can actually go sit somewhere and eat? Or are the employees just sampling random pieces of breads with bare hands in the middle of the store/kitchen? Pretty unsanitary...
After eating the oil-drenched breads (wife couldn't finish the donut, she threw it out after a few bites), we both felt sick in our stomach, like we drank a bottle of old oil from a fryer. In 4 months these folks created the best implementation of Korean Bakery and then somehow managed to make it worse than bad.
Sadly, I will be driving out to Closter/Fort Lee/Palisades Park, NJ to get my real Korean Bakery goods.
Truncated Original Review================
I had left a 1-star review for the other Korean bakery located in a large Korean grocery store in the same plaza...
...
The week after Thanksgiving wife stopped by on her way back from work. She spent over $75 on baked goods and a loaf of the milk bread...
We were so happy that the breads taste so authentically...
Read moreSo I've been here a couple of times and I see everything wrong. I have spent over $100. Now everytime I come the coffee is just worse everytime doesn't get better. I ask them when packing my oder do not over stuff the box! The person does it anyway then when I ask them to repack it the girl at the front get mad. I ask for a bag cause I have 3 boxes or even 2 boxes she tells me they have no more. Remind you the lady next to me ask for a bag and got the bag. When I looked at the and said ok and walked over to the side where my husband was waiting for his coffee. Now the person behind me same thing got a box and asked for a bag she gave her a bag. Now when I asked to speak to the manager she with another customer which is understandable so I waited and just got tired of waiting and left. Oh and they have a point system the girl never gave me my points on top of it. This store has so much Potential to be better then other stores but the lack of service and the fact no one wears hair nets or gloves when handling your order is a bit off setting when the person making your coffee is rubbing there face or scratching there scalp does turn you off. I believe at this point I will not be returning to this place again. Just disappointed at...

Everything taste so fresh and delicious today I will be going back again because my 10YO can’t stop talking about this place…. It’s self serve which makes my kids feel so good because they get to pick there own things, the staff is so friendly and informative even tho I asked so many questions they had so much patience with me . You get what you pay for the prices are reasonable because the food is so fresh and delicious, the croissant have a wonderful balance of sweet and savory, you can taste how fresh the fruit is and the bread had the right amount of crunch and once you took a bite it took me back to italy. Overall I recommend it to all my friends that live in the area or that are visiting. The salad was the only one that made it home everything else was so delicious it dint make it...
