This place is a joke and they racially and character profile their customers. I visited here with some friends. I flew in from California to NY to see my family and friends who I haven’t seen in 2 years and this was the only place with food and fun activities. Mind you they close in 3 hours and I just landed from traveling for 10 hours from the west coast. So in total it was 10 of us but 3 of us arrived early for one I was just picked up from the airport so we came straight to apex. We waited almost a hour at the bar for drinks we never received and for the rest of the crew to show up. We were gonna eat have a few cocktails and bowl. Let’s not forget we haven’t had a alcoholic beverage because we literally just got there. For the record the bar had one tender who was doing their best but was swamped.
Now that we’re all together we’re literally cackling (laughing like chickens) and crying because we haven’t see each other in so long and we’re basically catching up in person. The server finally comes and I told him I’m buying two rounds of shots for everyone and everyone order a appetizer and drinks. Almost 45 minutes passed no food from the bar that we were waiting for and no food or drinks once we get on the lane we’ve been bowling by now for well over 50 minutes. So I stated to the manager hey where is our food and drinks they said they would check. Almost 35 minutes passed no food so we go back. Ok we’ve been waiting almost a hour and some change no food no drink not even water. So he comes back and says his waiter said that we were all drunk and he didn’t put our orders in . SO THE BIG QUESTION IS THIS YOU WONT SERVE US FOOD AND DRINKS BECAUSE YOU ASSUMED WE WERE DRUNK BECAUSE WE WERE HAVING A GOOD TIME AND ENJOYING EACH OTHERS Presence but you will let a group of drunk people still Bowl ? I kind you not I can’t make this up one bit. So you would risk us bowling drunk and injuring ourselves vs turning our lane off and brining the drunk folks their food and drinks .
Worse place ever and the bald head Caucasian manager is a joke. The security person there can’t remember his name but he was a black man stated that they don’t appear to be drunk I don’t see what the problem is. We stated ok are we gonna get our food the bald Caucasian man said the kitchen is closed. I told him he was unprofessional and so is his staff. I am a business owner myself and yes you respect your employees judgement but you also should check out the situation especially since drunk people are bowling . Major lawsuit could be in the works if they allowed us to bowl and we injured ourselves don’t you think. They ended up kicking us out and to make a long story short one of the servers came up to us and said that the young Caucasian man who was serving us didn’t want to serve us because we were ordering almost 300-500 worth of food and drinks and he stated that black people don’t tip. Not knowing that everyone there has a professional skills and provides services to the public so we’re big on tipping. But hey their loss I just know I will never support them and I told all my friends on Facebook book and IG not to follow this place because of the unproductive and unprofessional...
Read moreHello! So we took my brother there for some birthday fun! Mind you I’m 46, my fiancé is 44, and my brother is 36. So we aren’t children looking to go crazy!
By the way, children dominate this place. Which is expected, but you have to be careful! It’s like navigating a minefield of kids!
The bowling alley looked pretty nice. We didn’t bowl, but the alleys were clean, and filled with lots of people having a good time.
The bar looked pretty nice. It was filled with the parents who had wished they did something else that day.
There was a birthday party going on. The room looked like a usual room, nothing spectacular. But I did notice that people were out the door of the room.
Like a line, so it almost looked like the room may have been too small.
I didn’t see bumper cars. Doesn’t mean they aren’t there, but where they are? I have no clue.
Didn’t do the escape rooms. A little pricey for me.
What I did do were games!!!
So, the price for games is expensive. Again to be expected.
I spent about $100 for games. This gave us a pretty lengthy experience with the various games, and was a lot of fun collecting tickets.
Some machines gave more than others. Some games didn’t seem worth the credits to play at all…
Some didn’t work! I would have to say at least 40% of the games were not working for some reason.
One we had to get credit back cause it was broken, and the staff was very nice about helping us out.
Staff did seem very friendly, and helpful.
Finally, checking out our tickets at the shop was a bland experience.
I always forget that all the money I spent with games, and all the tickets I have will NOT get me anything good….
I had 477 tickets!
But the gift shop had been picked over, and didn’t offer much except for candy.
Great, I’m on a diet, so that works for me! LOL!
So that sucked.
All that gameplay for a bag of cotton candy.
A $100 bag of cotton candy?
I would have liked to get a keychain, or something. But like I said, lots of empty hooks, and such. Slim pickings.
All in all it’s a fun place. It has lots to do, games, bowling, VR, escape rooms…
But it is a huge money trap, and lots of it doesn’t seem to work.
Either way you will have fun though. So...
Read moreScheduled a team event here- process to get set up was great no issues. Was then asked to start 15 minutes later due to another larger group- no problem but need to get started by 330.
My boss & I arrived at 230 - make sure the room was set up- it wasn't, we helped set up chairs and tables at 325- team was not checked in until after 340- so we started late.
The staff was clearly overwhelmed and our host did her best. Lots of confusion on how to connect the overhead projector- again another delay.
Our event was to have a business meeting followed by entertainment. A childs birthday party was scheduled next to us- making it extremely difficult to hear our speakers with the kids being kids.
Food delivered on time- but there was a pan of burnt meatballs brought out- when I pushed back- I got "so you don't want them?"- turns out they were old and from another party- thankfully, I caught this. Supposed to be Pasta Primavera - we got just pasta- no sauce, no bread sticks- all called out on the order. Bar service was extremely slow- only one bar tender he did the best he could.
Entertainment- bowling was fun, but one lane did go down for about 10 minutes. Supposed to have the sports simulators- took 45 minutes to get one up and running. Lastly- team asked to play the virtual reality- 1 unit was down and the other was not working properly. I believe the root of all the issues was there was no clear manager or person in charge. Again, our host did the best she could but was clearly working on other tasks as I had to go look for her multiple times. This was a team event picked due to the location being drivable for the company employees-
When reviewing all of this with my sales rep - i was offered a gift card as follow up and a return phone call from the actual manager- I passed on the gift card- and have yet to hear from...
