Had a fantastic experience here. Everyone was so nice and helpful and the food was delicious! The staff was really sweet and really seem to care about their customers experience. Another plus for those dining in is that there is a ton of space in the restaurant, the tables are spaced enough so that you won’t feel crowded. This is a huge plus for me. For an appetizer we got the Taiwanese Fried Chicken which we really loved. It really reminded me of the popcorn chicken you can get at night markets in Taiwan. Very crispy with a nice peppery flavor. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen and I really loved it. The pork has a really delicious grilled Smokey flavor and the soup base had notes of seaweed which I really loved. My wife ordered Mala beef slices rice noodles which was also fantastic and has a really authentic Chinese flavor. It was a somewhat spicy with a Sichuan peppercorn flavor. We also got the lemon green tea and it was so refreshing. Really great taste and has some jelly in it that added some flavor and texture. I loved this drink so much I almost went back later that night after doing some shopping at cross gates. My wife and I will definitely be coming back. If you want authentic Chinese flavor and great service I would definitely...
Read moreRecently dined at the JiBeiChuan in Orange, CT and was blown away by the food so when I discovered that there was a location closer I had to check it out. The food was outstanding, we had the signature fish maw & chicken rice noodle soup, beef stir fry udon, and Taiwanese fried chicken. The soup broth was rich and comforting, noodles perfectly cooked, chicken so tender (fall off the bone, if there were any bone lol), but there were only 2 pieces of fish maw? I'm not familiar with this dish so not sure if this is normal or if it's served mostly for the broth but regardless there was no fishy/seafood flavor. I can see this spot being super popular in the winter - it was a hot 90 degree summer day we visited and there wasn't much air flow so be prepared...
Read moreI come here on a weekly basis with my kids. They always accommodate our dietary restrictions. I am allergic to MSG and they do not use MSG in their soups, which is why we like them so much. Their scallion pancakes are delicious, because they’re always made fresh to order. One time, I came with two kindergartners (my son and his friend). After we received our stir fried noodles, I asked if there was MSG in the noodles (I wanted to sneak a bite of their food). Then the chef saw that it was kids eating the food, and he recommended that the kids should not have MSG. So he made another round without MSG, and they didn’t charge us. I...
