We had a wonderful time, so we went back twice. When you walk in, you wait to be seated. It can be a very busy place, so you may wait a little bit. The waiting area is a bit narrow as it's shared by others walking in. There are white papers that cover the tables. We had fun writing on them as we used it to plan our week. On the first visit, we were well informed about the menu choices/drinks. After our meals were done, the server forgot about our to go order, but she was very apologetic about it when we brought it to her attention. We had their vampire kiss cocktail and a cider drink that were good. The pull apart cheese bread was delicious with the red sauce, the fish fry, mushroom burger, and 1885 burger & brick oven broiled lemon pepper fish. All of the food was enjoyed by our party. On our second visit, the server was pretty busy & unable to get our orders in for a bit & said she didn't know certain things about menu items when we asked about how some things came prepared or options for some substitutes, so we stayed with some things we knew. We tried the garlic bread this time and ordered two of the beer battered fish and the beef on weck. The beer battered fish was definitely the favorite from both visits. The food, no doubt, is good and consistent and comes out in a timely manner. You can tell the owner Jimmy is passionate about his restaurant as he takes the time to check in on each table and wants to make sure that any problems are addressed so he can make it right if needed. The atmosphere is laid back, relaxed, and family-friendly. The food is fresh and well plated. There is a good variety of choices. You can sit at the bar to watch a game or sit comfortably at a table not too close to other tables, which was nice so you don't have to worry about bumping into other patrons' chairs. There are taller tables and shorter tables available, so it suits a variety of size parties and comfort. This is a regular place for my family members as I was only here a short time, but I will make this place a go-to every time. Give it a...
Read moreThis was my first time here I'm not going to beat around the bush, the soup was amazing, the appetizer was disappointing, the burger was a shame.. the soup that I had was French Onion and it was delicious. The soup that my wife had was Beer Cheddar soup. It was also quite delicious, unfortunately she had to wait 5+ minutes to get a clean spoon as the one she originally received still had parts of the meal from the last patron adhered to it. Now let's talk about these God-awful stuffed mushrooms. The mushrooms had no flavor, and the sauce was very generic. Kind of like Chef Boyardee sauce. The sausage in them tasted like frozen pizza sausage: think Mr. Tony's. Now the main course; our $15 a piece burgers. I'm not going to bore you with what my wife and I ordered specifically, but let's just say, it seemed as if they bathed the burger buns in a pool of grease, and, they could not quite cook the burger correctly, which was a disappointment. Now I wish I had pictures of the spoon and the stuffed mushrooms, but I didn't decide to write a review until I got my burger and "well done" bright pink meat was looking me dead in the eye. Please learn from my mistakes... You don't want to feel how I feel after paying that bill and receiving that horrible food. I would like to update this review the owner reached out to me and apologized for my service and offered to correct the situation.. the owner is very nice and they promised me that they would fix...
Read moreFirst thing to know about Butera's: just about everything is made in-house using locally sourced food. So if you're looking for freshness and quality in your next dining experience, give Butera's a try.
My wife and I started with the Buffalo Mozzarella. Wow! These are NOT frozen mozzarella sticks, not by a long shot - the cheese was fresh and served with a few sauce options, every bite is a flavor experience you'll keep coming back for.
For entrees we had the chicken fingers and a pizza. Once again, fresh NOT frozen and made in-house, the chicken fingers were AMAZING. I would specifically recommend the cajun sauce for the spice lovers looking for something flavorful and the honey garlic if you're looking for something sweeter (but not too sweet!).
The pizza we ordered was the pesto chicken, which is sure to please. But I might recommend having a look at their appetizers before you order pizza from Butera's because they have a "Pizza Flight" which gives you a chance to try three different pizzas for about the same price as a whole pizza.
Also I had a chance to speak to the owners: these are great people who pride themselves on the quality of their food. They really do go the extra mile in their food and are constantly innovating. My wife and I enjoyed our experience at Butera's and will no doubt...
