My husband and I like to find new breakfasts spots, and we have a few we like to frequent. This was our first time at GGs and it did not disappoint. We will be adding it into our list of "regulars." The staff is very friendly and attentive. I love a place that has waitresses/waitors that gets to know your name and have a great personality when greeting and taking orders. We have several places we never returned to because the staff was miserable. So 100% love the smiles there. Makes a huge difference.
Now onto the food! We decided to order from the specials. I tried the reuben poutine and my husband got the lemon ricotta pancakes. Mine was a perfect brunch like food. The corned beef was perfect and easy to chew. The portion was huge and I was full after eating a quarter of my plate. My husband loved the pancakes and said it's probably one of his favorites. For drinks, we tried the Irish creme mocha and the Luck of the Irish Float. I love ice cream and orange soda so this was right up my alley. The hot drink was also quite nice. I was able to order mine with decaf. I normally take my coffee black or with a splash of cream but I enjoyed having an Irish themed drink with my breakfast before St. Patrick's Day.
In summary, we will definitely be back. Thanks for having...
Read moreTook a chance on GG’s as it was close to our hotel. What a great way to a start your day. A very friendly greeting at the door and quick seating was appreciated. The place was full less a few spots at the rail. The young woman that came by after our seating was engaging and fun to talk to. Our waitress was soon by and got coffee and menus for us. We ordered after checking out the specials. I had pancakes that had real flavour and not just flour and water. Sausage was meaty and not full of filler. My friend had the usual eggs bacon and toast. Perfect. He did want to try the Thanksgiving breakfast though. Potato pancakes, stuffing, turkey & eggs, I think. It was too much for breakfast but we did see a few plates of it come out of the kitchen. The main woman cooking even came out to see if our meal was good. The Food was great! All in all we had an enjoyable time at GG’s. Even though it was very busy they took tome to talk wth you, check your coffee and make sure you were enjoying the experience. Please try GG’s. I think you will be surprised how good it...
Read moreLoved, loved GG's Diner! It is really nice on the eye decor wise. We went there for brunch. Two of us ordered the omelet (you design it from many offered ingredients and it has 3 eggs), home fries, meat (bacon, ham, sausage) and toast (multiple choices for this - I had wheat) combo. Another one of us got the fried bologna sandwich which they are known for and our fourth diner had the Blue Collar breakfast (2 eggs done your way), meat, home fries and toast. The menu is extensive and there are lunch options and a children's menu also. We loved everything! The hours are 7am to 3pm (the website states 2pm but the hours on the door to the diner say 3pm). They do not make potato or sweet potato pancakes (and possibly regular pancakes) after 11am so if that's what you want get there early. The coffee is awesome and the cups are bottomless. They use the house blend from the local Premium Coffee Company. It was so good we went there afterward and bought our own. You need to try this place for breakfast or lunch. You will...
