SoBol Merrick — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Its ashame that I will have to go to another Sobol over something so small, however I must on principal alone. I purchased a acai bowl with no strawberries or blueberries...just extra banana in its place. The server insisted that I pay an additional .65 cents for the extra slices of banana. I explained to her I didnt want extra banana but a substitution for the strawberries and blueberries however she insisted that I have to pay the .65 cents extra. Last time I checked bananas are so inexspensive compared to blueberries and strawberries! So the fact that I just wanted to substitute and couldnt made no sense. If I were to eliminate those fruits altogether would it be cheaper...no it wouldn't. So just another example of businesses profiting off of anything they can. What a shame. Very dissapointed. I arrived at 7:40pm to make a purchase. I was told by the employee that their machine was closed. As I was confused to what she was referring to I questioned her. She continued to repeat that her machine was closed. Once I realized she was referring to her cash register I questioned why it would be closed before closing time. No response to my question but was told they do not have the password to open the register. No apology no anything! This is horrible customer service. I understand that we all want to leave after work but if you are scheduled to a certain time don’t do these things at the expense of your customers. The owner and management should follow up with these employees and hold them accountable. I’ve been ordering the classic waffle package a lot lately, and I’ve noticed that my order hasn’t been coming with the honey I paid extra for. I always add a request to put honey on the second waffle too, but it’s never done. Today, both waffles came in a little bag with no honey at all.

I’m just confused—why not just put it all together, especially since I’m paying extra for the honey? I get why the açaí is packed separately, but the waffles, fruit, and honey should come ready to go. Just wanted to bring this up because it keeps...
