Do yourselves a favor and save the trip and save your money. First time here was the last time here and I can’t give lower than one star. I could start with the manager who has a problem giving someone his name when issues arise. That ordering their “6 course” meal constitutes for three courses. Barely got any vegetables, the soup came at the end of the meal, the salad was nonexistent. Not that I was terribly upset but the dessert was also nonexistent. Do not advertise and charge someone for something when you’re not gonna provide what your advertising. Our waiter totally dropped the ball had to return to the bar at least three separate times to request a drink that talk Probably 45 minutes to get to the table. I could see if the restaurant was totally packed but it really wasn’t. I think the favorite part of my visit was going to use the bathroom and walking into fecal matter all over the floor. There was no posted sign that the bathroom was out of order. Same thing occurred in the men’s room, I was too disgusted to even sit down and eat anything else and when I got up to leave I had to make my way around hoses and Lauren‘s that were being run from the Roto-Rooter truck that was almost blocking the front door. That’s no mistake if your restaurant was up to code and having proper inspections and being properly maintained you wouldn’t be cleaning that it was a mistake that your bathroom is backed up because that’s just being plain ignorant. I will never walk back into another Benihana’s for the rest of my days I was so utterly disgusted and disturbed there is nothing anyone could say or do to convince me to ever try again. So diners beware, there are a ton of hibachi places out there go anywhere else stay out of Benihana
New Update
It’s great to know that your manager lied to the department of health . There was no overflow in the sink there was fecal matter all over the floor. If the problem was that some kids stuffed up your sink then how did myself everyone in my party and your employees wash their hands? The manager Danny a.k.a. Anthony, not wanting to tell someone his real name obviously I now know why because you can’t hold up to the fact that you made a huge error with not having decent sanitary clean restrooms. But I understand all it’s about is covering up all the garbage that’s done, LYING to the public health authorities. The sink were not the problem, your poor management and obvious lack to care to maintain your facilities really shows what this company is about. I guess sinks now emit fecal water around the...
Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Benihana and I must say, it was far from a pleasant one. From the moment I walked in, I was met with unfriendly greetings by the hostess, setting the tone for the rest of the evening. The restaurant's lack of hospitality was further exemplified by the dirty and oily chairs I was seated in, which I had to clean myself before sitting down.
My friends and I decided to give the menu a chance and ordered a few items. We started with the Tokyo wings, which were nothing short of a disappointment. For the exorbitant price of $13.5, we received a measly portion of three tasteless wings that were cut in half. It felt like a complete rip-off, and the taste certainly did not justify the cost.
We also opted for the crunchy sushi rolls, only to be presented with the tiniest special roll I have ever encountered. The portion size was laughable, and the taste was mediocre at best. It was clear that the quality and quantity did not align with the price we paid.
For the main course, I chose the 5-course meal with Filet Mignon, priced at a whopping $36.2. The salad served was unappetizing, with wilted and yellowing leaves. The sauce accompanying it had an unpleasant sour taste, further diminishing any enjoyment. The mushroom soup was passable, but nothing extraordinary.
The vegetables portion that accompanied the meal was shockingly minuscule. It seemed as though they were trying to save costs by providing such a meager amount. The fried rice, which should be a staple in any Japanese restaurant, was bland and lacked any flavor whatsoever. I had to pour all my dipping sauce onto the rice just to give it some taste.
To add insult to injury, the steak I had ordered medium rare was served well done. It was evident that my specific request had been overlooked, and I was left with an overcooked and tough piece of meat. The lack of attention to detail and the failure to meet such a basic cooking requirement was deeply disappointing.
All in all, my experience at Benihana was a complete letdown. The prices were exorbitant, the portions were inadequate, and the lack of service was glaringly evident. The overall cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired, with dirty chairs and a general lack of cleanliness. I certainly will not be returning to Benihana anytime soon and would strongly advise others to seek dining...
Read moreWe had reservations for 8:30pm on Mother’s Day. Party of 8. When we checked in they said they’ll seat us momentarily 1 hour & 30 minutes isn’t momentarily. In total we were at this restaurant for OVER 3 hours on a Sunday night past closing. It didn’t make a difference if you had a reservation because they were also taking walk- ins prior to you. So many people ended up leaving without service which pushed up our time to be seated (wasn’t until 9:30ish).. If they know it’s such a busy day they shouldn’t have accepted walk- ins . Besides that point the service was completely terrible and with a party of 8 you will get charged an automatic gratitude of 20% which is a lot of money for terrible service. They took our drink orders & it took another 30 mins. They came back with the drinks & didn’t bring my mom’s beverage!!! It’s Mother’s Day and my mom has NO BEVERAGE , not even water! I informed 3 different workers about this and it took another 30 minutes in order for her to get a drink. Within that time period they gave us the soup / salad & she still has NO DRINK. After she finally received it we realized that we were waiting for OVER 45 minutes for them to come back to prepare the food. At this point it’s soo late I don’t even know why we stayed. It seemed like there was a shortage on hibachi chefs. The chef mixed up the food orders so we got some of the wrong food, he looked overworked and tired at this point in the night, there was barely any entertainment after all the waiting we did. At this point we wanted to just go. It’s past 11 pm now. we get the bill $620. 4 / 8 got chicken hibachi for $36.40 EACH & apparently fried rice doesn’t come with the hibachi entrées?? It’s put on as an EXTRA cost on the bill for $6.40 for EACH person. We spent almost $50 on rice for 7 people (one person didn’t get rice).I thought that rice was included with a chicken hibachi entree but it surely WASN’T! At the end of the day, I’m just upset at the poor service and the quality of the food. The price didn’t match the service received. The service is really below average compared to other hibachi places in surrounding areas, I had to hound down the employees for the check & boxes after being there for so long. I just feel like it was such a waste of money I should’ve just given my mom the money as a gift instead of loosing it here! Please do...
