I’ve stayed at many properties over the years and have earned a lifetime Platinum status. This property is nestled in a great location with ample shopping and dining options close by. This is a great place to stay with all the offerings around the property!!
As for the property itself… I’d definitely ask to be on a lower level of the building and stay on the westside as this is closer to the “Boiler Room” as told by the maintenance guy. On my recent visit (2nd visit to this property - 8/28/24 ), we had trouble with getting a hot shower on the first night we checked in. We were told this was an old building and the higher floors always had trouble with the hot water especially if you were on the east wing.. This issue continued our entire 5 nights and we had to plan out showers with running the water a full 30 minutes beforehand on full hot function to bring the hot water up. On my last night (9/1/24) at the property, we actually turned to TV on for the first time and looked forward to using our Netflix account with the internet TV option. This was a let down with the internet connection not working. I didn’t make a big deal of it and sent in a request to have it looked at with the Marriott app to the front desk. A short time later, an engineer was sent to the room to address the issue. The “engineer” brought in a couple of TV remotes and realized the remotes were not the issue. He mentioned he would be back to fix the issue but we ended up on deciding to cancel the service request after an hour from the original request. We simply wanted to relax and just go to bed. Unfortunately this would be without our TV choice to veg out on.
We will be back in the area again soon but I believe we will explore other properties in the area.
PROS - Comfy Bed, Great AC in Room, Quite Room, Close to Shopping and Dinning, Friendly Staff
CONS - Nightly Parking Fee, Ice Machine is only on the 3rd and 6th floor, Hot Water functions is lacking for immediate use on half the building, Internet TV is unreliable...
Read moreI booked this hotel for my friends wedding. I originally booked for one night (Saturday). At the last minute, I needed to come up a day early. I was extremely stressed and worried you would not be able to accommodate me with such short notice. I called your hotel and spoke with Jonathon. He answered the phone with such a great energy and spirit. His positive energy was literally contagious. He put my mind at ease and put me in a better mood. He assisted me in booking the room over the phone. He was even proactive and independently looked into if I could get the room for the wedding block price before I could even ask him. He was excellent with anticipating all of my needs and answered all of my questions. He had the BEST phone manners! He said "please pardon my silence" while he was looking stuff up for me (Where did you guys find this guy?!? Keep him forever). He engaged in conversation, which really makes a guest feel valued and cared about. When I finally arrived to the hotel to check in, I was greeted by Jonathon (with the same great energy he had on the phone). When I said my last name, he immediately welcomed me, reintroduced himself as the person I spoke to over the phone, and inquired how my drive up was. He quickly checked me in. Jonathon shared that he would be back the next day, and to not hesitate to ask if I needed anything. Jonathon was extremely helpful and really made all of the difference in my experience. While all of the staff members were great, Johnathon really stood out from the rest. I was also shocked to hear he has only been working there for 2 weeks! I would have never guessed. He was so knowledgeable and comfortable. I honestly can't speak more highly of this Marriott location and my experience. I will be sure to visit again and have been spreading the word about my fantastic stay. THANK YOU!! And thank you, Jonathon, for going above and beyond and having the best customer service I have ever...
Read moreI give this hotel -1000 stars but have to give it 1 only to post my review* I have always stayed at the Marriott hotels but my experience here was one of the worst experiences I have ever had it my entire life! The hotel claimed we were smoking in the room when there was no smoking going on at all! We even let them check the room to prove that there was no smoking going on and then they left. Then 10 minutes later, the cops are at the door and claimed we gave the managers a hard time when they asked us to leave! They racially profiled us and we’re unhappy to see 6 young black people in the Junior Suite which costs 150 for the night. We were not loud at all and we were very cooperative to the security officer they sent up. After being kicked, we asked to have our money back because there was no smoking going on in the room and they refused to give us our money back! The front desk person didn’t even give us a number or person to talk to it about, he just said we weren’t getting our money back and that’s that. He treated us with no respect at all and showed no mercy for me being a faithful Marriott customer. When I came back the next day to speak again about the incident, I was told the same b/s story and the manager claimed they found evidence of a roll up and it smelled of weed and that they had pictures & a police report. We asked to see the evidence and they said they were not allowed to show me anything even though the report was made on a room under my name! They were unable to work with me in any way to resolve the issue and only gave me a number to another manager at the hotel! My experience left me heartbroken and no longer will I give my money to any of the Marriott hotels and especially the Courtyard because of my racist and disrespectful experience at the hotel!! I have opened a case with corporate and look forward to really resolving the issue but will never promote or stay in a Marriott...
