Tried NY Caffeine after seeing it all over socials, but honestly, it was a big letdown. We were initially excited because the pastry display looked promising — tons of options ranging from Western classics like cheesecake and muffins, to twists like a Dubai chocolate croissant and chocolate baklava, to traditional Middle Eastern desserts like kataif and regular baklava.

But then came the actual food…

My sister ordered the avocado toast and we genuinely laughed when it arrived. It was served on thin, cheap grocery store white bread, with a barely-there green paste and half of a cold, pre-made egg on top — and they charged $2 extra for that sad egg. She returned it and asked for a refund. She then tried to order an egg and cheese on a croissant, but they were out of eggs. Not a great start.

We also tried the honeycomb, which was super dry and crumbly — not soft or fluffy like it should be. I literally had to sip my drink just to help swallow it.

Then came the cookie-brownie-croissant combo, which sounded amazing but was practically inedible. It was dry, overly sweet (like box mix sweet), and the croissant base was either raw or overbaked — so hard that my fork broke trying to cut it. We returned that too.

Even the drink didn’t hit. We ordered a large, but it came only ¾ full. It was watery and a little too strong, so I politely asked if they could just add more milk — the barista said they couldn’t because of how the cans work (??), but she ended up remaking it from scratch.

Honestly, we left super disappointed. Everything looks great online, but the actual taste, quality, and customer service don’t match the hype. If you want good drinks, Middle Eastern desserts, and reliable service — just go to Qahwah...

First few visits were amazing went late at night a very knowledgeable young guy helped me out made An amazing drink for me. but the last 3 times I went they forgot my cold foam they fixed it but it takes a while and I’m normally going on my to or from work so it delays me when it’s always made wrong. Also today when I went tasted like it was all espresso in the caramel frappe which is normally not a very strong drink, they deff didn’t add any sugar or flavoring syrup into it just espresso and caramel. Any the 2 Carmel macchiatos I ordered were terrible as well both overwhelmingly with the espresso and no flavoring at all!! I love espresso but would love to taste the caramel and sugar in it as well if that was the case I would’ve just got an espresso shot over ice. I was so excited when this location opened since it’s close by my new house but after the first few times going they started to mess up the orders constantly also noticed the guys at late night hours around 10-12 make the drinks 1000% better then the girls during the day . The prices are too expensive not to get a good tasting drink first few times was amazing at night when guys made it, but have been failing me ever since, I don’t wanna not go back but very disappointed in the morning/day staff. Wasted money today on 3 drinks and the other day on 2 drinks don’t like wasting my money by time you crack you drink and sip it your on your way home already. Also no number or website to contact them bro that they can actually make it right if there was I wouldn’t of even typed a review I would’ve messaged them. I may give them one more shot after this...

I decided to check out NYCaffeine in Westbury, and I’m so glad I did! This cafĆ© has quickly become one of my favorites.

Let’s start with the pastries—wow. Every pastry I tried was absolutely incredible. They’re freshly baked, beautifully crafted, and bursting with flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into making them, and each bite is better than the last. Whether it’s their delicate pastries or indulgent treats, you won’t be disappointed.

The espresso here is hands down one of the best I’ve had. Smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed, it gives you that perfect caffeine kick without being too overpowering. And if you’re a fan of matcha, definitely give it a try—it's smooth, vibrant, and full of flavor, the perfect balance of earthy and creamy.

Another highlight? The crepes. They’re thin, light, and filled with the perfect amount of sweetness or savory flavors, depending on what you’re in the mood for. Whether you go for a classic or something a little more adventurous, you’re in for a treat.

As for the interior, the vibe is truly unique. The space is beautifully designed—modern and stylish with just the right amount of coziness. It's the kind of place where you’ll want to stay for hours, sipping on your coffee, enjoying a pastry, and soaking in the atmosphere.

The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do, which makes the experience even better.

If you’re in Westbury, NYCaffeine is definitely worth a visit. Amazing pastries, top-notch espresso, and a cool vibe—what more could...

Update: Visited Sunday night and was in the mood to have my favorite omelette and latte. Sadly, I was informed that now, breakfast stops at 11am. Anyway to change that back to always available? I mean it’s only eggs and they’re back to decent pricing. Taking off one star, I’ll put it back on if it comes back. Still a really good place to have coffee and food. This was a nice find and glad they opened up in Westbury! This chain has great espresso drinks and love the personalized pop top iced coffee containers. This location also has an excellent grill. I got the omelette with broccoli tomatoes and mushroom with some beef bacon. Delicious. Could have use a tiny bit of salt and pepper on the eggs. It’s a beautiful new restaurant/ cafe feels very modern and the WiFi is fast. Bathroom is very clean. The service was excellent and they really care about customer experience. I like the sustainable bamboo utensils too. They actually work unlike the flimsy plastic that other places provide. Will likely be on my coffee shop rotation. You can also get nice desserts, unfortunately I can’t really have it because of my t2D. You can make a nice keto meal here though. They serve halal meats, if that’s a consideration for you. So no pork. The front parking lot can get busy but there’s another one on the street behind with stairs that go to the cafe.

Wow!!!!! Found out yesterday that there is a second NY Caffeine, in Westbury off of old country road. We would always go to Qahwah House when we were in the area. By a turn of good fortune, we noticed the beautiful palm trees and the sign NY Caffeine. Store wise this place is amazing, the decor is like no other. Just as the Franklin Square location, I visit frequently they have the iconic can cups. But pastry wise they have a wide selection of cheese cakes, crepes, croissants, donuts, baklava and ice cream. And don’t even ask about the viral Dubai, this place has everything. They have a Dubai Latte, Dubai Frappe, Dubai Milkshake, Dubai Strawberry Can CupšŸ“,Dubai Brownie, Dubai croissant🄐, Dubai Crepe🤩, Dubai Cookie CakešŸŽ‚, and even a Dubai Donut šŸ© they just came out with. Lol, told them you should just have a section called ā€œ Dubai Caffeineā€šŸ˜œ. They also have my ultimate favorite dessert the magnificent cookie dough croissant šŸŖšŸ„. Also just as the first place I frequent, the staff and customer service is beyond the best ever. This place is definitely a must go to place.

I visited the Westbury location twice and had the same experience both times. The drinks were great on my first visit, but inconsistent on the second—one tasted overwhelmingly of espresso. I ordered a vanilla chai latte, caramel macchiato, croissant, and strawberry banana crepe. The crepe was rubbery and slimy, not enjoyable at all. The space is cute and well-decorated, though small with limited seating inside. There are some outdoor tables which help. The biggest issue is the lack of customer service—no greeting either time, no engagement, and very little product knowledge when I had questions. I spent $30.00 and wouldn’t mind if the service and food quality were better, but unfortunately, they weren’t. Nice vibe, but not worth a third visit.
