Tried NY Caffeine after seeing it all over socials, but honestly, it was a big letdown. We were initially excited because the pastry display looked promising â tons of options ranging from Western classics like cheesecake and muffins, to twists like a Dubai chocolate croissant and chocolate baklava, to traditional Middle Eastern desserts like kataif and regular baklava.
But then came the actual foodâŠ
My sister ordered the avocado toast and we genuinely laughed when it arrived. It was served on thin, cheap grocery store white bread, with a barely-there green paste and half of a cold, pre-made egg on top â and they charged $2 extra for that sad egg. She returned it and asked for a refund. She then tried to order an egg and cheese on a croissant, but they were out of eggs. Not a great start.
We also tried the honeycomb, which was super dry and crumbly â not soft or fluffy like it should be. I literally had to sip my drink just to help swallow it.
Then came the cookie-brownie-croissant combo, which sounded amazing but was practically inedible. It was dry, overly sweet (like box mix sweet), and the croissant base was either raw or overbaked â so hard that my fork broke trying to cut it. We returned that too.
Even the drink didnât hit. We ordered a large, but it came only Ÿ full. It was watery and a little too strong, so I politely asked if they could just add more milk â the barista said they couldnât because of how the cans work (??), but she ended up remaking it from scratch.
Honestly, we left super disappointed. Everything looks great online, but the actual taste, quality, and customer service donât match the hype. If you want good drinks, Middle Eastern desserts, and reliable service â just go to Qahwah...
Read moreFirst few visits were amazing went late at night a very knowledgeable young guy helped me out made An amazing drink for me. but the last 3 times I went they forgot my cold foam they fixed it but it takes a while and Iâm normally going on my to or from work so it delays me when itâs always made wrong. Also today when I went tasted like it was all espresso in the caramel frappe which is normally not a very strong drink, they deff didnât add any sugar or flavoring syrup into it just espresso and caramel. Any the 2 Carmel macchiatos I ordered were terrible as well both overwhelmingly with the espresso and no flavoring at all!! I love espresso but would love to taste the caramel and sugar in it as well if that was the case I wouldâve just got an espresso shot over ice. I was so excited when this location opened since itâs close by my new house but after the first few times going they started to mess up the orders constantly also noticed the guys at late night hours around 10-12 make the drinks 1000% better then the girls during the day . The prices are too expensive not to get a good tasting drink first few times was amazing at night when guys made it, but have been failing me ever since, I donât wanna not go back but very disappointed in the morning/day staff. Wasted money today on 3 drinks and the other day on 2 drinks donât like wasting my money by time you crack you drink and sip it your on your way home already. Also no number or website to contact them bro that they can actually make it right if there was I wouldnât of even typed a review I wouldâve messaged them. I may give them one more shot after this...
Read moreI decided to check out NYCaffeine in Westbury, and Iâm so glad I did! This cafĂ© has quickly become one of my favorites.
Letâs start with the pastriesâwow. Every pastry I tried was absolutely incredible. Theyâre freshly baked, beautifully crafted, and bursting with flavor. You can tell a lot of care goes into making them, and each bite is better than the last. Whether itâs their delicate pastries or indulgent treats, you wonât be disappointed.
The espresso here is hands down one of the best Iâve had. Smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed, it gives you that perfect caffeine kick without being too overpowering. And if youâre a fan of matcha, definitely give it a tryâit's smooth, vibrant, and full of flavor, the perfect balance of earthy and creamy.
Another highlight? The crepes. Theyâre thin, light, and filled with the perfect amount of sweetness or savory flavors, depending on what youâre in the mood for. Whether you go for a classic or something a little more adventurous, youâre in for a treat.
As for the interior, the vibe is truly unique. The space is beautifully designedâmodern and stylish with just the right amount of coziness. It's the kind of place where youâll want to stay for hours, sipping on your coffee, enjoying a pastry, and soaking in the atmosphere.
The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do, which makes the experience even better.
If youâre in Westbury, NYCaffeine is definitely worth a visit. Amazing pastries, top-notch espresso, and a cool vibeâwhat more could...
