if i could give negative stars for customer service i would. My wife and I came to the diner for the first and last time.
First I have 25+ years of cooking experience unfortunately i am in a wheelchair and my wife is visually impaired and we both have some dietary restraints but between us we do as much as we can and try to be as independent as we can. But we are not afraid to ask for help “if we need it”’ I like to say together we make a whole person, it was nice that the manager held the door for us as we entered. it became a little intrusive to me and my independence as he chased me down to open the the two doors to the bathroom, after i had said i could get there myself. When I came out of the bathroom i did thank him advised of wife’s vision issues and we had some dietary issues, he said any changes would be no problem. Ok we ordered, wife ordered a chicken dish came with as per the menu, diced chicken peppers and onions, no mention of mushrooms she is allergic to them, the chicken was a thin chicken breast cut into quarters that were not diced so i took her bigger pieces and made them bite size i ordered the skirt steak one for the almost $30 would have expected a little more then a 4oz piece of meat. i cut my steak (against the grain) and it was so full of grizzle i couldn’t even chew it. I called over the waiter and he took back the dish and gave me a new menu that was when my wife noticed the mushrooms so we had enough. I couldn’t believe with such misinformation on there menu i was given a bill for $11 (for two small cups of soup, not something i would have ordered but they were part of the dinner) by the time we got to the car my wife was feeling the effects of the mushrooms so i gave he her Eppy shot and sat in the parking lot for thirty minutes to see if the hospital was going to be needed, The shot did stop any ill effects but will call her doctor tomorrow, I will never come back to this overpriced ship hole again. I hope anyone reading this will go...
Read moreUpdate: I have now made Majestic one of my favorites. The last 3 times that I have gone, I have had excellent attentive service. I will say that the busboys(or whoever refills the coffee/water) aren't as attentive as other diners, but that aside, I have been throughly impressed. My mom and I have split the Deluxe Twin Burgers and Grilled Cheese with Bacon. We were impressed with how much food that gave for the price. I have also gotten the Belgian Waffle. I would have like to see an option with Whipped Cream and Strawberries, but other than that it was an excellent meal. I also go the Egg Sandwich with bacon & American cheese. Next time I would get it without the cheese because it wasn't as melted as I would have liked. For dessert, I always get the Oreo cake. It is so good, but quite big.
I have only been here a couple of times. Once I got the oreo pancakes(good but way too big for what I was hungry for) and another time I got just a blueberry muffin. Their mimosas are really good. As a new drinker, I was really impressed with how good it tasted(especially from a diner). I am only giving 3 stars because I was not impressed with the wait staff. They take so long to come to your table and it can be 20 minutes before you see them or someone to refill your water/coffee. Maybe they are more attentive when you order a full meal, but a waiter should be attentive regardless. If that is the case, I will do an updated review if the service is better when I order...
Read moreWe were not treated the best. Given a booth by drafty door which I refused. Then table by kitchen doors. Ordered cheeseburger deluxe. The burger was not juicy & cooked fresh for me, instead, it was reheated. It was dry like cardboard & had a bleach taste /aroma like it was refrigerated. The onion rings were excellent. The fries were average. The coleslaw & pickle were excellent. The additional deluxe was a piece of rotting lettuce with big black slimy rotting spots and a slice of tomato for $5.50. I requested to have the charge removed from my bill, but the waitress refused. She had to be asked several times for napkins. The seltzer had a moldy taste. Also ordered a chicken burger deluxe. There were no onion rings with the chicken burger which is odd bc I have grown up with diners including Vegas Diner in Brooklyn & Georgia Diner in Queens and a chicken deluxe always came with the same fries & rings as the beef burger deluxe. The chicken sandwich looked fresh and the lettuce seemed ok. The portion of chicken was generous so my dining partner was happy. We were in the area for medical procedure at the hospital and were in need of a good meal before the long drive home. We came to the restaurant exhausted & were just looking for an hour to recover so that we could make the drive home. It was not a home run at the...
