If you're looking for an exceptional coffee experience, look no further than Qawah House in Westbury, NY. The new location is an absolute gem—spacious, beautifully designed, and with an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. The decor is chic and inviting, with a modern yet cozy vibe that creates the perfect setting for both work and relaxation.
A special shoutout to Nayf, one of their Qahwah brewing specialists. This guy truly knows his craft! He’s not only incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of coffee but is also so accommodating, taking the time to explain the intricate brewing methods and offering personalized recommendations. It’s clear that he’s passionate about the coffee he serves, and it really enhances the whole experience.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Omar, the owner, who is one of the most humble and genuine people I’ve ever encountered. His hospitality is above and beyond—he made me feel like family, ensuring that every part of my visit was perfect. It's evident that he puts a lot of care and love into his business, and that energy flows through to every corner of Qawah House.
As for the drinks, the Adhani chai is a must-try—perfectly spiced and aromatic, it's the kind of chai that will transport you to another place. But for me, the Brown Sugar Latte and Pistachio Latte are the absolute stars. The balance of flavors is flawless—the right mix of sweetness and richness that keeps you coming back for more.
And don't even get me started on the pastries! The Khaliat Alnahl is the perfect companion to any drink—warm, crispy, and drizzled with that special imported honey. It’s the kind of pastry that takes indulgence to the next level.
If you're in the area, don’t miss the chance to visit. It’s more than just a coffee shop; it’s an experience. 10/10...
Read moreOk so driving past this place caught my eye. Being a coffee lover I made a quick stop to grab a latte. Walked in and the place visually pleases you right away. Ordered a large iced latte and it was over $11.00!!!! Holy star bucks on steroids thats a lot for a large latte.. now here is the bad part, they took about 15-20 minutes to make my latte.
As I waited off on the side I noticed they had a whole bunch of milk on the prep counters with the milk not refrigerated. I watched as desserts were being prepped and everything looked good and smelled wonderful!
Once i finally received my iced latte ,I was drooling and urrged to taste it… an $11 dollar latte must make star buck’s taste like water right?? Boy oh boy was I disappointed!! This iced latte barely had a taste like coffee.. i did order it with almond milk but still, bad taste. I honestly thought i was drinking almond milk by itself!! I was so let down because my expectations were pretty high as I walked in.
I ended up going to the local Dunkin, (I was craving for caffeine), up the block and ordered the same exact latte and it had a taste 10 times better.
The food or desserts here seem interesting and if i am ever around i might pick up something to eat but would definitely skip the coffee. $11.83 for a cup of coffee that is not large enough and has no taste is overly priced.
Definitely not trying to bad mouth the business. This is constructive criticism if they want to be...
Read moreI love Qahwah House and am so happy to see a location closer to where I live! One of the best things about this spot is the ample parking—it really takes the stress out of getting there. It’s always packed, but the energy is amazing—young people of color, everyone enjoying themselves, and a great overall vibe.
The space itself is very spacious, and the décor is thoughtful, featuring a big map showcasing the history of coffee and art that celebrates Yemeni heritage. The servers are always friendly and fast, no matter how busy it gets—you can tell they’re enjoying their time there too.
I’ve loved everything I’ve tried so far. The coffee options are fantastic—so far, the Yemeni and pistachio flavors are my favorites, and I can’t wait to try the brown sugar and caramel one next. I highly recommend the tomato olive pastry—it’s super addicting, like a mini pizza. The sambosas were okay, though a bit doughy; I do wish they’d introduce more savory options.
For desserts, the pistachio mousse is delicious, and the kunefe was good, though it could be a bit meltier. And of course, who doesn’t love the honeycomb dessert? I can’t wait to try more items from their menu.
I also love that they’re open late, making it a great spot to hang out. The only downside is that no one ever picks up when I try to call—the number doesn’t seem to work. Other than that, inshallah, this place will...
