I’ve passed this spot many times over the years but never when I was hungry… until today. The gentleman behind the counter was dressed as if this were a fine dining establishment. He was friendly and patient and answered my questions about prices. There was a QR code above the serving area and linked me to their expansive menu.
The fish and shrimp were out of my lunchtime price range, so I settled for a chicken skewer, plantains, and mixed veggies. The gentleman warmed up the skewer for me, then I took my tray and sat in one of the booths. The food was tasty… especially the chicken. The veggies were okay, and the plantains were good. My email came to around $11, which is much cheaper than the fish or shrimp which started around $20.

I wasn’t crazy about my most recent experience, though. I recently stopped eating chicken and beef, so for the first time, I tried their salmon. I ordered salmon with rice and two sides—plantains and macaroni salad. All of these items were familiar to me from previous visits, except for the salmon.
