Greek Xpress Franklin Square — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

We don't order out often. Greek food is one of those "it's too much fuss to make at home" meals, so we order it in. We usually order from another local place but decided to give Greek Express a try. So disappointed. I know prices have gone up. But if you're gonna charge me $40 for 2 gyros and fries, it should be good. The gyro was small compared to any other place we've ordered from. The gyro meat was cut really thick and was bland. The fries were soggy and pale. Inedible! I'm saving them for later and see if a round in the air fryer will help. But seriously.... $6.50 for a box of fries that are limp soggy and opaque....????? Also, they put the tzaiki directly on the pita which made it very soggy. I hate leaving bad reviews. Especially for local establishments. But I at least want my moneys worth. And this was barely worth half of...

Overpriced with undersized Portions. This place was always a little pricey, but we liked the food, so we would still order from there fairly regularly. However, over time, they have significantly decreased their portion sizes and have begun to nickel and dime their customers for condiments. I ordered a Gyro tonight and literally got three slices of meat on it for $12.75! They now charge for tzatziki in a small cup when you order a souvlaki stick, when that used to be included. They also used to have a kid size Gyro and now that’s not an option anymore either because the regular Gyro is even smaller than the kids Gyro used to be! We are not ordering from there any more. It’s insulting if they thought they could decrease portion sizes that much and that people...

Usually one of us will come in to pick-up dinner or lunch. Food is always FRESH and Plentiful. Today was super hot so we just wanted to relax and order in. It was close to closing but they took our order and food arrived in 25 minutes. The Santorini Salad was delicious and more than enough for 2 people. Greek Xpress has the BEST Tzatziki ever. It is thick and creamy! We ordered 3 beef n lamb gyros with extra Tzatziki and some how it was missed. I called back and my Tzatziki was delivered in 15 minutes AFTER CLOSING. The food was great and the service was above and beyond. 😋
