LouTony's — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

I’ve eaten La Bottega before at other locations. They are all very inconsistent with the portions. At this Merrick location, I ordered the Di Rosa salad, they charge you an extra $2.50 for avocado. When I went to pick up my food, I realized I barely had any avocado. I asked them how much avocado they put in the salad for $2.50, they said 1/4. To charge someone $2.50 for a quarter of an avocado (and I promise you, it’s non existent) I’d rather bring my own avocado from home than to spend the $2.50 on a sliver of an avocado. Definitely do not waste your time on the extras & get those “extras” from home. I understand mark ups in the restaurant industry, but at the very least give me a good amount of avocado for $2.50. I’m given nothing. I just threw away $2.50. Never putting extras anymore...

I ordered food from this location 3.5 hours ago, and NEVER RECEIVED IT. They claimed they called me multiple times. When I told them I never received their calls, and confirmed they had the right number they told me they would "remake it and have the driver send it over", That obviously didn't happen either. I waited for their food for so long. I usually have pleasant interactions at their chains, but this place has horrible customer service. If I could give less than one star I would. Lovely small restaurant located in the plaza. It's pretty expensive but that is to be expected for higher-end Italian. Our party came here for weekday dinner The complimentary bread with olive oil was very delicious, especially it being warmed. We ordered the penne alla vodka, steak salad, and vegetable panini (the 2020 one). Everything was amazing. Service was great and fast.
