McBride's — Restaurant in Town of Hempstead

Food server walked out with 20 wings , 5 more then I had ordered ( hadn’t noticed )

He was heading towards the bar with it and I thought the wings were mine so I waved him down , he gave them to me and I was eating them to find out they were someone else’s. Innocent mistake on mine and the servers part and something that happens occasionally in the service industry.

I apologized to the guy working ( presumably the owner from how upset he acted ) , he was cursing and bitching me out under his breath to the very sweet female bartender even though I’d apologized numerous times and told me that when MY wings got there I should “ take them to go “ And made another few snide remarks.

I even offered to pay for the extra wings. ( which he had me do.i paid for a total of 35 wings even though it was an innocent mistake between me and the server )

It sucks because I’d been going to wing night for 3 weeks straight at this point and really liked the spot but I’ve not returned since because the way the situation was handled put a really bad taste in my mouth. The female bartender is an absolute...

Love this place , I work at a neighborhood comedy club and we’re done with work , we are hungry and just want a good place to eat and have a night cap. This place is welcoming and very hospitable. The first trip , we were 4 girls and the bartenders were attentive, quick and welcoming . On a night with the yankee playing , the bar was packed with middle aged men, all were having a good time and it was all good vibes . What a great place to come after work just to unwind . I love the French onion soup and wings , yum yum yum. And the burger was delish too .

My daughter and I came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch around 12:30; it was not busy, at all. There was a someone at the bar that did not greet us. When I asked him if they were open he did acknowledge me and said yes but kept his back behind us. We waited about 10 minutes and I asked her if she wanted to go somewhere else because I knew she was hungry. The person by the bar said he would be with us in a few minutes and made us wait another 10 minutes…no water, no menus, nothing.
