Tonight 6/11/17 I visited the McDonalds at 575 Franklin Ave Franklin Square NY. At approx 6:08 I ordered two hamburgers, regular fries and a crispy snack wrap at the drive in window. The order was taken by an employee I have dealt with many times, a young white female who speaks perfect English. The display showed a total of $5.41. I proceeded to the payment window, where I was served by a heavy set Hispanic woman wearing a pink or reddish shirt. The other employee was also there, apparently training her. She stated to me: $6.26. I assumed the difference was due to tax, and I handed her $6.26 exact change. She started to give me change, and I stated that I gave her exact change. She then stated that the amount was $5.41. I said you told me $6.26, that is what I gave you. She then waved the receipt in my face (but never gave it to me) and said $5.41. I said you told me $6.26. She them literally threw a dollar bill at me, slammed the window shut, and walked away. The other employee did not say or do anything. When I pulled up to the second window I again saw the Hispanic woman, she turned and glared at me.

Read moreAll McDonald’s in the NYC metro area are known to have poor customer service, but this location takes the cake by far. Every single customer-facing employee here is extremely impolite, ill-mannered, rude, unfriendly, and cold. Once you walk up to the mobile pickup area, there’ll be a good four employees who will see you from their periphery, and then refuse to make eye contact with you or pay you any attention, even though your order is packed, ready to go, and just sitting there near them getting cold, instead of sitting on the pickup shelf for people to grab. The whole point of having mobile order pickup shelves is to UTILIZE the mobile order pickup shelves.
It’s clear that the manager at this location doesn’t introduce the concept of customer service to any of the new hires here. Seems like they’re all trained to be as unfriendly and unhelpful as possible. Don’t expect a greeting, a “you’re welcome”, any eye contact, or even half a smile. Read moreMcDonald's has fallen off severely especially since the pandemic. Everything that was really good at McDonald's stopped being good or existing on your menu during the pandemic. I am only interested in eating the filet of fish the grilled chicken the yogurt parfait. Of these things they only sell the fillet of fish. The fries stopped tasting good after they made it so-called healthy. I pretty much have zero reasons to eat at McDonald's and I actively discourage people from eating there. I used to drink only one drink from there 5 days a week. I found out that that drink was between 850 and 1,000 calories. When I stopped drinking that drink I lost 66 lb over a less than 6 months. McDonald's is from hell. People really need to stop eating here. If you ever taste the beef by itself it's completely disgusting. I challenge anyone to eat one of their burgers with everything on it except the meat. I promise you it will be a thousand percent increase in the quality of the flavor.
