I usually never write reviews but unfortunately I feel compelled to write one for this Millers Ale house located in Levittown. Last Friday on October 28th 2022 my friends and I went to the levittown movie theater to see the the Black Adam movie. When the movie was over it was late around 10:30pm and my friends and I were looking for a place to eat before we called it a night. Not much places were open but we found a Miller's Ale House not far from the movie theater and they closed at 1:00am. We thought this place is perfect to spend our money and get some food while we talk about the movie. When we arrived to Millers we walked in and politely told the hostess it was four of us and she let us know that there was a 5 to 10 minute wait for the next booth. She said we can wait by the bar and she will come and let us know. We followed her instructions and waited by the bar. She told us 5 to 10 minutes , we waited for 30 MINUTES and never got seated. The nail in the coffin for us was when we saw people who came in after us get seated almost immediately after there arrival. We watched the hostess play around and talked to her friend joking and laughing when she was suppose to be servicing the visitors who are coming to pay money. After we watched her seat another party that came in after us we asked her as she walked by when were we getting seated, she replied condescendingly that there were two more groups in front of us and we will just half to wait. Me and my group of friends all work in the service industry so we can completely understand the stresses of the industry and mush work that goes in so we then waited again for another 10 minutes. In total we waited 40 minutes at this restaurant to be ignored and ultimately not to be served. The bartenders would come to us from time to time asking if we would like a drink but we politely replied no we are just waiting for a booth to be seated. So once again after 40 minutes of just standing around wasting time we left and searched for another establishment to spend our money. I work for a service company that repairs and services kitchen equipment and if I'm not mistaken we did service for you. It is very unfortunate I half to leave this comment but from our perspective we were perplexed as to why we got treated like that from the hostess. It goes without saying that we will never step foot in this restaurant again and if anyone brings up Miller's Ale house within by company or personal life I would unfortunately half to refer to my personal negative experiences. Once again this happened Friday night 10/28/2022 at around 10:45pm. The hostess was around 5'2 with black shoulder length hair , a female constantly laughing and joking around with another hostess with blonde shoulder length hair that think wore glasses. Thank you for your time and good luck on your...
Read moreTL;DR: A disappointing, inconsistent experience when compared to the Deer Park location. Nice bar area and lots of seating.
My companions and I arrived at 7:45 on a Saturday night. I was told that there’d be a one hour wait for a party of four, but we were seated after waiting only 35 minutes. There was a party of two who arrived before me and they said their wait was approximately one hour.
The drinks were hit and miss. Some tasted weak and others, like the strawberry mule and margarita were well received.
The food was pretty good (salty ravioli aside)… until a hair was discovered 1/3 into devouring a skillet of chicken scampi bake. Bri called over a manager (at her insistence), Jordan, who said that he’d “take care” of us and asked my companion if they wanted the meal re-made or would prefer something else. My companion settled on the pork osso buco. Jordan said that it would take approx 15 minutes to prep the meal and my companion stated that they were fine with the wait.
At the end of the meal we were surprised to learn that we were charged for the replacement meal. The original meal (with the hair) was removed from the bill, but the replacement was listed at full price. My companion asked to speak with the manager. A different manager appeared this time (possibly the GM?), and he insisted that “comping” a meal is not something that he’s done in his many years of employment. It wasn’t a good exchange and I don’t know if it’s a Long Island thing, but I’ve had many unfortunate incidents in restaurants over the years in various states and comping seems to be a standard practice when something negative happens. We weren’t there with the goal of getting a free meal, but there were elements of the experience that made me not want to return to this location. Had the meal/comp situation been handled differently this review would’ve had a more positive tone. Oh, and a companion and I kept getting whiffs of body odor. It took a while to realize that it only occurred when a few members of the wait staff breezed by our table. I get it, servers can work long hours, but… um, yeah. The floor in our row was disgusting and needs to be redone. I could understand if this were a small independent restaurant with thin margins, but this isn’t that type of place.
Our server, Bri, was great and didn’t contribute to the disappointment in our experience. She tried to make the best of the situation and was very attentive from the moment we...
Read moreWent to dinner for my Father Birthday, now I know I went on a Saturday Night but we have always loved coming here and haven’t had a chance in a while to go. After being told the wait was going to be 30-35 minutes we were seated in 20, great job there, very friendly staff, we ordered, got our appetizers (buffalo wings that just weren’t quite spicy enough personal preference here) and then we get our food in which everyone’s came out fine except the Steak Fajitas, which were referred to as a popular choice. The pan it came out on was sizzling, but the peppers, onions, and the Medium steak (that was cooked perfectly) was cold, almost felt like it had just come out of the fridge, so we let the waiter know and she did what anyone would and brought it to the back, so it comes back to us and now the peppers and onions were cooked to slivers and mush, and the steak was overcooked and dry! We again let the waiter know and she got what I am guessing to be a manager, who had asked what the issue was and as I explained he had let me know it was going to he about another 25-30 minutes for replacement of it (seeming annoyed at this point and trying to hurry the conversation up as he started to walk away with only partial of the fajita meal), at that point I had just given up and ordered a medium cooked bacon cheeseburger as a replacement which I paid for and got the fajita compensated. I really use to love coming here but it was disappointing to have gone through this. As for some other personal opinions, the tenders were very bland didn’t have much seasoning, and the Mac and cheese was not worth eating, it tasted like nothing, as my husband...
