I went to this place to give it a second chance since the last time the employees disrespected me. Unfortunately there has been no change in customer service and sanitary conditions. Anybody can walk in first but won't be served until they feel like lifting a finger. I have had to ask the manager twice to review the camera footage showing somebody trying to skimp on the change. I was owed back $6. It took so long for me to prove my case to an illiterate that by the time the manager gave me the money he refused to give me a refund or heat up my cold food after holding it hostage.

All employees must wash their hands after handling money or scratching their ass. I have seen these guys putting their hands on places they should not be to then handle food like nothing is happening. People come go yet critters do too. For example there's the occasional cockroach lurking around a table trying to get a lick off the pizza of some young girl who doesn't notice. In addition to cockroaches and human rats, I feel like vomiting every time I see this place.

It is amazing that even with the renovations Raimo's has kept its level of abhorrent behavior towards the minority. I say this because I was not alone. My black friends and I passed through just to see extreme racial profiling. Right off the bat the same bastard that tried to steal my money began provoking a fight with his obese associate which we thought would have been nice. But, we are civilized and think before acting. Like Tupac "my biggest crime is talking loud". Thank God that we did not fall into temptation and...

My husband went to pickup an order that I placed through DoorDash. He said no one acknowledged him he had to say he was there to pick up an order. One of the workers a heavy set man told him to go wait over there and shoved him off. So he said I’m here to pickup a pie and a chicken parm hero. One of the workers placed the order on the table and said to him what’s the name he said his name they said that’s not the name we have he said well maybe it’s under my wife’s name so he gave him my name and they said oh. My husband told me he never felt so uncomfortable.(African American) there was even another customer in there of color who looked at my husband and said Wow! We just moved out to Long Island from queens since we moved here in may 2021 I have been placing my orders through DoorDash which I have ordered multiple times out of convenience.so they can’t see what I look like so we can’t be treated any kind of way. I wish I would have known this sooner I would have never brought anything from Raimos pizzeria. If your in Freeport Long Island go to John Anthony pizzeria on Atlantic across from Dunkin’ Donuts you won’t be disappointed they get 5 stars. Great food, friendly and everyone is treated equal. Raimos owners learn how to treat your customers we spend our hard earned money to keep you in business no matter what anyone looks like....

Incredibly rude to children. Took my daughter and her friend here to grab lunch and they are joking and laughing as kids do. Guy behind the counter was rude to them and kept staring at them like they are going to steal something. In the few minutes we were there the dirty look was constant. You are a pizzeria not some 5 star restaurant get over yourself. I have no problem asking them to lower their voice, but to do it rudley and then to continue to give them a dirty look to 12 years old girls. You should be embarrassed. If you are looking for pizza, Italian food or a quick bite I would encourage you not patronize this place in Freeport. Don't be fooled by the high review score. Looking at some reviews it seems this place used to be good, but have gone down hill and seen other reviews about their rudeness. For a pizzeria in Freeport you would think they would be welcoming to families and kids. I did not order as I was disgusted with the look for this man and we walked out and even then he continued to shoot his dirty look. Will never visit this pizzeria in...

Update on 2/17/24: I moved from Freeport going on 4 years now. I came back to Raimo’s with my kids for a treat. I wish Raimo’s opened near us in Suffolk County. We used to order food here once a week (especially the chicken Francese and penne a la vodka). The food is incredibly delicious, and the mushroom pizza is still my favorite. No one makes it that way, at least not at any of the restaurants near me. I can’t wait to visit again when we find ourselves in the area. While I have been coming here since 2008, when I moved to Freeport, I only recently discovered their chicken francese and penne alla vodka. Their pizza has always been delicious, with my personal favorite being the wild mushroom slice, which is really flavorful. About two months ago I tried the chicken francese and my husband and I have ordered it several times since. This place is definitely worth ordering food from.

I am a regular here and last Friday I was craving some Raimo’s pizza so I get there and when trying to order I was being overlooked and skipped by everyone. Then when I finally got to order my food I waited a long time before stepping up and trying to ask about my order. Still being skipped by everyone the workers didn’t even acknowledge my existence. By now I’m thinking to myself my food must be burnt. It was only because a worker seen my food getting burnt that he took it out of the oven and asked aloud who ordered it. The service was just so unacceptable and what was worse is when I got home I opened the box and seen this. I should’ve never paid for this. To say I was angry would be an understatement.

When on Long Island, Raimo’s is the Italian spot of choice. The ā€œto goā€ experience was just that.. Place your order, pay, wait then go. While the gentleman that took my order was kind and friendly, his focus wasn’t on the experience. The pizza was pretty good with just the right amount of cheese (no complaints there), the garlic knots were cooked a little too long and the Zeppoles (not sure if I spelled that correctly) Italian food lovers may know about this tasty treatšŸ™ƒ The large Zeppoles offered too much dough and not enough powdered sugar. Location…great, Food…ok, Service…ok.
