Been a fan of the Texas in New Hyde Park for a while, so I wanted to check this new one out (especially since it’s only walking distance from me), and compare the two. Honestly when it comes to the food, there’s not much to compare as they’re both literally the same in terms of the type and quality of food. Which makes sense since it’s literally a fast food joint, and they use the exact same ingredients and techniques in their cooking. You could go to a McDonald’s in NY or a McDonald’s in Cali, the food will probably taste the same. It’s good, nothing special. Just average fast food, except it’s halal and pricey. Seriously, I liked the two burgers I got, but the I don’t think it was worth the money that I spent. Might be more pricey than other locations. The two Crown Fried Chickens in Elmont have better food, it’s cheaper and larger in quantity so I’ll probably just continue going there. Despite just opening up a month ago, I was surprised at how unkept the place was. The floors were sticky and looked as if they hadn’t been mopped in days. The tables has lots of garbage on them. People should seriously clean up after themselves but if they don’t, it’s up to the employees to make sure the tables are in sanity to ensure customer satisfaction for those who wish to dine in. Especially since it was packed when I went (Friday night so go figure). Compared to the Texas in New Hyde Park, it’s smaller. Less tables, less places to sit. It’s more meant for takeout than dine in, whereas the one in NHP is a lot more accommodating for families who wish to sit and eat their meal. About a few of families can dine in at once at this location, whereas the one in NHP can accommodate more at once. And yes they have bathrooms. As for the service... it wasn’t anything to write home about. Wasn’t god awful, but there were 3 people in the front and at least 5 cooking in the back, and it still took 20 minutes from the time they took my order and gave me my food. And there were only a few people ordering before me. The place was still packed tho because many people who had ordered their food were still waiting, presumably for over 10 minutes. Gotta pick up the pace folks. Overall tho, I’d give this place 3/5. The food’s satisfying, albeit pricey (although that’s more a personal complaint than real criticism). I’d have to take off points for their slow service, cleanliness and how tight-packed it is. I wasn’t dissatisfied with the food so I guess I cannot complain TOO MUCH. If your curious, definitely check this place out but make sure you check your expectations...

I recently visited Tex's Chicken & Burgers with high hopes of enjoying a delicious chicken sandwich combo. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. From an excessively long waiting time to cold mashed potatoes and unprofessional behavior from the kitchen staff and front customer service, my visit left much to be desired.
First and foremost, the waiting time for my chicken sandwich combo was unreasonably long. Despite the restaurant not being overly crowded, I found myself waiting for an extended period before receiving my order. This delay was frustrating and negatively impacted my overall experience.
To make matters worse, when I finally received my food, I discovered that the mashed potatoes were served cold. It was evident that they had been prepared in advance and left sitting for an extended period before being served. Cold mashed potatoes are simply unappetizing and reflected a lack of attention to detail in the kitchen.
Another disappointing aspect was the unprofessional behavior exhibited by the kitchen staff. Throughout my time at the restaurant, I noticed several members of the kitchen staff talking amongst themselves and even using their phones, neglecting their duties. This lack of focus and professionalism reflected poorly on the establishment and raised concerns about food safety and hygiene practices.
Additionally, the front customer service was lackluster at best. Despite bringing up my concerns about the cold mashed potatoes and the unprofessional behavior of the kitchen staff, the staff members appeared indifferent and did not seem to care about addressing the issues. Their lack of empathy and willingness to rectify the situation left me feeling disappointed and unvalued as a customer.
In conclusion, my experience at Tex's Chicken & Burgers was far from satisfactory. The excessive waiting time, cold mashed potatoes, unprofessional behavior of the kitchen staff, and the lack of care from the front customer service all contributed to a disappointing visit. I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and implements the necessary improvements to ensure a better dining experience for...
Read moreTitle: Disappointing Experience: Poor Customer Service at Texas Chicken and Burgers
My recent visit to Texas Chicken and Burgers left me thoroughly unimpressed, primarily due to the abysmal customer service I encountered. While the food itself was passable, the appalling treatment I received overshadowed any positive aspects of the experience.
One particular incident that stands out is their exorbitant pricing strategy for beverages. I was shocked to discover that a 20 oz bottle of ginger ale was priced at a staggering $3.99, a cost that far exceeds reasonable expectations. However, the real kicker came when I requested a simple cup of ice to accompany my purchase. Despite offering to pay for this basic addition, I was bluntly informed that they were not "permitted" to provide a cup of ice. This rigid and unwelcoming policy left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.
The lack of flexibility and empathy displayed by the staff further compounded my dissatisfaction. Throughout my interaction with them, I found their attitude to be dismissive and indifferent, showing little regard for customer satisfaction or basic courtesy. In an industry where customer service should be paramount, the stark contrast between the quality of the food and the treatment of patrons at Texas Chicken and Burgers is deeply disappointing.
In conclusion, I would caution potential patrons against visiting Texas Chicken and Burgers due to the dismal customer service standards they uphold. While the food may be decent, the overall experience is marred by their lackluster approach to customer care. Save yourself the frustration and seek out establishments that value and respect...
