Let me start off by saying that weâve been going to Tony Tacos (floral park) for years. In fact, when we were celebrating my babyâs monthly milestones, we used their churros for 12 months pictures (now sheâs 2), and introduced this place to our close friends. that goes to show that weâve been patron for years and we like this restaurant a lot.
But this is for negative experience we had yesterday at the garden city location. We ordered for take out since my 2 year old started to nap when we were close by, but when we got a parking she woke up and started crying, so instead we head out to the restaurant to dine in. As we were waiting for our order to be ready, I asked my husband to get the âstrawberry lemonadeâ first cos Iâve been so thirsty, I am 33 weeks pregnant & had been into cold drinks and yesterdayâs weather made it worst so I couldnât wait to drink something refreshing. As soon as he got it, I started drinking it, and had 3 gulps when I realized that it was âstrawberry lemonade margaritaâ that they filled up in the 1/2 gallon. I checked our order to make sure we didnât ordered the cocktail and it was in fact just the regular lemonade that we paid for. I ran up to the pick up station and showed our order list, and he in fact confirmed that it was the non alcoholic strawberry lemonade that we ordered and said theyâll fix it and give us a new gallon. A lady (wearing blue) that was standing nearby grabbed the drink and told the lady by the bar that it was a mistake so they gave me a new gallon of strawberry lemonade. The guy from pick up was nice enough to tell me theyâll give us churros on the house for the baby when he dropped off the gallon of drink, and the lady in blue came shortly after to give our complimentary churros.
It was upsetting and I still am today when I think about it, considering I never had alcohol not even a sip for any of my pregnancies so negligence like this really frustrates me. I felt a burning sensation from my belly after that incident and now I am more untrusting with their staff if theyâre careful enough with what they sent out to their customers. Had we not dine in, we wasted a gallon of lemonade since my husband is not a big mocktail drinker, or imagine if I just gave it to my 2 years old without checking just because I trusted their staff that theyâre accurate with what customers ordered.
My intention is for awareness, and hopefully it wouldnât happen again. CHECK YOUR ORDERS PEOPLE, some staff are negligent like this. I donât know if corporate will see this but kindly train your staff to hand out the correct orders customers paid for. This is unacceptable. Other than this horrible experience, food had always been great, but service has a lot of room to grow, and start by making sure they hand out correct food and drinks to their...
Read more"Finally, I stopped by Tony's Taco At Garden city , a Google-recommended spot I'd been following. Their tweet about a fantastic view tempted me, and today I decided to visit. I pulled into the parking lot, feeling hungry after work. I met the manager, who was very cool and patient, even with a long line of customers. I asked about the menu and ordering process, and they explained everything clearly.
I ordered two Chicken Tacos with ingredients & Vege and Crunchy Cauliflower & spicy mushroom Taco , had side order nachos & cheese for $6.26 each. All were delicious! I also wanted to learn more about their bar and Tequila Mix area, but the staff wasn't sure about the details. Maybe I'll update that information later.
If you're craving Refried Beans, don't expect to find them here - it's Italian Taco! While the food was delicious, I couldn't help but notice the absence of traditional taco options. I would recommend that the owner consider adding some bean taco varieties to the menu, catering to the vegetarian community. It would be a great addition to the existing Italian-Mexican fusion options.
I noticed they offer a variety of meats, shrimp đđđincluding fish, chicken, and vegetables, which pairs well with their cocktails. The large occupancy can hold two birthday parties at once on Saturdays, with a minimum spend of $1500. The outdoor lighting creates a romantic atmosphere in the evening. They also have two all-gender restrooms.
I plan to make more trips and update my knowledge of their offerings. For now, I'm happy to have discovered this gem on 7th street!" Crowed was imagining in 7th Street, donât forget to eat TCBY frozen yogurt treat later walk after had great day out with kids on my...
Read moreA Fantastic Experience for Families and Foodies Alike! We dined with a group of 18 people, including several little kids, and it was an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. Hosting such a large group can be a challenge, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was seamless and enjoyable.
The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for families. The kids were comfortable and entertained, and the staff was incredibly accommodatingâbringing out kid-friendly options quickly and with a smile. As for the adults, the menu was a revelation! Combining the best of Italian and taco traditions, every dish was a delicious twist on familiar flavors. The fusion was creative, and each bite was packed with freshness and bold taste.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who ensured our drinks stayed full and our orders were just right. Despite the size of our group, the food came out promptly, and everything was served piping hot and beautifully presented.
If youâre looking for a unique culinary experience thatâs also family-friendly, this place is a must-visit. The blend of Italian and Mexican flavors is pure genius, and the hospitality is second to none. Thank you for making our gathering so memorableâweâll definitely be back!
