...Walked in at 2am with my boyfriend. Only 2 guys were working, both happened to be at the register. Counting up the till perhaps?
I greeted them and they both glanced up at me, ignored me and carried on. Kind of annoying but whatever it's 2am. We stood there awkwardly waiting to be helped and they never acknowledged us for what felt like the longest 3 minutes ever. Okay...
So they finish and guy #1 who appears to be a manager, asks for our order with a dead expression on his face lol. We ask for 2 slices. This guy, literally seizes our slices with his bare hands AFTER TOUCHING WHATEVER REGISTER GUNK WITHOUT WASHING UP FIRST, and stuffs them into the oven.
I look at my boyfriend who apparently was oblivious to it all. I was a little disgusted but it was late, I was hungry and we just performed a late set with our band. Nothing else was open so I didn't care as much as I should have...
Anyway, guy#1 then approaches us to pay. I hand over the money and it slipped from his hand ONTO A PIE!! He just casually picked it up and continued the transaction like nothing. There was no attempt to remove the soiled slice, nothing.
The slices were alright. I remember them being better. Maybe it was just the nutella slice. Don't think we'll be...
Read moreThe tough part of being on Long Island, having lived in NYC, is finding food and other services after 10pm at night. Insert Za and its being open until deep in the night at 4am. I work at a nearby hospital and I'm so glad this place was open, nearby and even willing to deliver. Considering the number of bars nearby, it's probably in a prime location.
We (my coworkers and I) have ordered from them in the past and they have a very wide range of different pizzas (including a macaroni pizza that is REALLY heavy). On my last visit, I was greeted by this tall beauty with a great smile! I had a few pepperoni slices and some garlic knots that night. Now, were they the best I've ever had? I'm not so sure but the fact that they tasted good and were available at 02:45 in the morning compels me to give them the green light.
A word of caution: Though they closed their dining room and only offer takeout and delivery for COVID-19, one of their workers didn't have a mask on. I didn't feel endangered since I had an N95 on but I have to admit it caused me to question some things.
Bottom line: Go grab a slice. Just wear a mask and maintain distance...
Read moreThe late night staff is super rude! Don’t go there unless you are Kanye or a drunken hot girl! I was doing an Uber eats pick up and my younger, slightly annoying millennial brother asked for two slices of pizza or Za as this laced place calls it. THE gentleman heLPING me was beyond rude it was so hurtful and shocking. He also could barley put beatbox together and was literally having a panic attack because he flipped out on me when I asked for a barbecue slice referring to what was a random leftover fry and cheese slice. I told him use for my brother and me being a new meat eater ( I was vegan for many years) I don’t really know what chicken looks like. Anyway this guy was ridiculously rude and then couldn’t put the beatbox together and you’re stretching the spirit of his face luckily my brother took the food very hard I will never go there again for Uber DoorDash sadly they tip well and I will never go …places such a joke. Unless you’re a hot girl that’s truck you’ll get some good service but if you’re a dude definitely don’t go - Just not worth the hassle and the bad vibes...
