I am writing to share my feedback on my experience working out at the Movement Underground. When I first started at the Movement Underground in December, I was not feeling well physically on a daily basis. The symptoms I experienced on a daily basis included fatigue, dizziness, and pressure in my head, which caused brain fog that persisted throughout the day. As a result, I struggled to perform my daily routine, but after joining the training program twice a week, I began to notice improvements in my symptoms. After a couple of months at the Movement Underground, I started to feel more like myself, and I regret not joining earlier. I would also like to commend the facility on its cleanliness and the kindness of the staff, from the front desk to the trainers. I feel welcome from the moment I walk in the door to begin my hour-long training session. The friendly atmosphere and amazing staff, particularly Chris Tessitore, who always makes everyone laugh, make my experience even more enjoyable. I have been training with Jordan Idaspe on a scheduled basis, and my experience since joining in December has been overwhelmingly positive. I would like to share my appreciation for him in a few personal words. As a trainer who genuinely cares about helping me meet my needs and abilities, he pays close attention to details. The other team members are also exceptional in helping me improve my physical condition and alleviate my pain. The table treatments provided by Anthony Pranzo, a professional therapist, are the most comfortable and effective treatments I have ever experienced, surpassing even regular massage therapy. He targets the deep tissue to repair my muscles, significantly reducing my pain levels. Mike Stella runs a very helpful gym service with the best team support. He is very knowledgeable about the human body, knowing the best treatment to choose for each individual. I would highly recommend your gym to my friends, and I hope you find this feedback about the gym membership helpful, which has consistently improved on a week-by-week basis. Working out at the gym helps get my body moving and my muscles functioning properly. I look forward to continuing training at your facility in the upcoming months. It is highly recommended to anyone...
Read moreMike and Brian are the absolute BEST in the industry. They don't just treat the symptoms. They identify the root cause of your pain or injury and treat YOU the person. They have helped my athlete son and me, a 54 year old mom tremendously so this will be a double review.
My son (16 year old athlete): For years my son, a track sprinter, was plagued with hamstring strains, pulls and finally a tear. We had spent many months in physical therapy, and acupuncture trying to get more flexibility in his hamstrings until we finally found Movement Underground. Mike immediately identified that my son had plenty of flexibility in his hamstring but the cause of his injuries was do to instability and lack of mobility in other areas of his body. They had a different approach to his total body recovery. They helped him establish strong foundation movements that he has been able to build upon. Now my son is a strong, stable, injury free sprinter today.
It is clear that Mike and Brian truly care about their clients have a true passion for helping them achieve success and their maximum potential.
Me (54 year old Mom): I was all set to have knee surgery for a torn meniscus when I decided to get an evaluation at the Movement Underground since my son had such incredible success with his hamstring. After my evaluation Brian looked at me and asked me the fateful question that changed everything. He said, "I know you have a torn Meniscus, but why are you having surgey?" My knee wasn't getting locked up or stuck, it was just painful. He explained to me that the meniscus has no nerve endings and he suspected the pain was do to weakness in another part of my leg and over-compensating using the wrong muscles to walk. He did some work on my leg, gave me a few exercises to do and I walked out of the office pain-free for the first time in over 4 weeks! I canceled my surgery that was scheduled for the following day. I scheduled a mobility rehab program with them for a month. They said if it didn't work then I could always go back to my Dr. reschedule my surgery. After a month I had reprogrammed my body to use the right muscles to walk without pain and I am now strong enough to do strength training at the gym. I am eternally grateful to...
Read moreAs a former Division 1 athlete who’s spent years navigating the frustrating cycle of injuries, specialists, x-rays, traditional PT, and misdiagnoses, I can say without hesitation that The Movement Underground is on another level.
From the moment you walk in, the energy is different. Mike did my initial consultation, and he was amazing, super knowledgeable, welcoming, and passionate about what he does. He made a strong first impression that set the tone for everything that followed. It was informative and you can tell they care. The vibe and professionalism were immediately clear, everyone there wants to be there. They’re passionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to helping you feel and move better. It’s not a cookie-cutter program, it’s tailored, personal, and progressive.
What truly sets TMU apart is their mastery of biomechanics and how in tune they are with the body as a whole. Their approach goes far beyond traditional PT. They see the body as an interconnected system, not isolated parts. They helped me understand the uniqueness of my body and how movement needs to be catered to the individual; there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach. The protocols they built for me didn’t just treat symptoms, they addressed root causes and reshaped my approach to training, recovery, and even stretching (or, in my case, no longer needing to stretch at all because of what I now know).
Anthony is who worked with me the most, and I can’t say enough good things about him. He’s insanely smart, incredibly caring, and brings a level of professionalism that immediately builds trust. At the same time, he’s easygoing, relatable, and makes every session something to look forward to. He genuinely listens, explains the “why” behind every move, and makes you feel like you’re in expert hands, because you are.
Their deep understanding of how the body moves, and more importantly, why it moves the way it does, is unlike anything I’ve experienced. They challenge the “old way” of doing things and instead empower you with real, applicable knowledge that makes a lasting difference. Whether you’re dealing with a nagging injury, recovering from something bigger, or just want to level up physically, this is the...
