The worst, most unprofessional customer service experience ever! I have been trying to cancel my internet service since Saturday, November 1st, and have had my request refused verbally by an agent and have been put on hold by an agent only to be disconnected after being put on hold. I have wasted hours of time trying to accomplish something that should only take a few minutes. The agents are rude and obnoxious. This cannot be a legal practice. Today, I am mailing a notice of dispute via certified mail requesting the termination of my service and returning my modem/router to the Seaford NY location. I will contact my credit card company and instructing them to deny any requests from Optimum to collect payment of services after November 1st. The lawyer who worked with me on my home closing said to keep him posted as well. I have been sharing this awful experience with my neighbors, co -workers and family. Very happy that I made the switch to Verion Fios after a neighbor recommend their service. Verizon is now providing my home with fast reliable internet service and prompt, professional and polite customer service as well. Read moreI went to return my boxes, the salesman give me a number to call to disconnect my services. The customer service guy convinced me to keep the service at a much lower rate. The manager or team lead not sure asked me if I need mobile service. I told him I have Verizon under my son with cell, watch and tablet still paying for. He told me he can add my home phone number to my cell phone so I won’t miss any calls and he will give me a discount on my home service. I hesitate but he kept asking so I agreed.
A few days later I got a message from Optimum to activate my mobile phone. I went back to the store and asked them to remove the house phone feature from my mobile phone I spoke with Marcus. He told me he took care of it and I will be getting an email.
I got an email stating you have activated your mobile phone. I called the customer service only to learn they added cell phone service to my phone.

Read moreI went to this new location to return an Optimum cable box I longer needed. My cable bill was getting way too expensive anyway. I returned all the equipment required and received a receipt for my return. A month later when I went online to pay my bill, the bill was the same exact price. The amount of the cable box was never removed from my account. I chatted with a representative online to ask what happened but the representative didn’t have a clue. I was able to find a picture of the receipt I took and sent it to the representative and was told that my account will be credited accordingly. What’s the purpose of having these Optimum stores if the people that work here can’t do their jobs? The people who work here are only interested in selling you Altice Mobile phones and plans that nobody wants. Altice destroyed everything I enjoyed about Cablevision.
