Jeremiah's Tavern — Restaurant in Town of Henrietta

We used to love coming here, especially to sit on the patio and have a drink in the Summer. One of the bartenders made us the best margarita we ever had. Unfortunately, our last 3 visits we have had horrible service.(the same server each time) The first time, we noticed the service wasn’t great, but it takes a lot for us to complain. We still tipped over 20% because we thought maybe she was just really busy. The second time was disappointing, but this last time will unfortunately be the last time. My fiancé and I were seated in the back at a high top table for about 15 minutes before a server came over to us. We saw there was plenty of open booths so we asked to move. She sat us down and said she would be back. When she came back we ordered appetizers & dinner. We sat there for about 45 minutes and she never once came back to offer us a refill or check in at all. The table behind us had only been there 10 minutes and had already gotten their appetizer. After being there for an hour with barely any service we thought they forgot about us and we were just going to leave. As we were getting up, our appetizers and food were brought out at the same time. Our French onion soup was still a little warm so we ate it. The fries in our poutine were cold and the chicken in the bee sting salad (which I loved in the past) was even colder. We sat there for a while until we finally asked another server walking by if we could please have our check and a box for the food (that we didn’t eat because it was so cold) I tipped that server and thanked her for helping us. Our original server never asked how anything was, never checked on us, and didn’t seem to notice or care that someone else had to wait on us. Our waitress , Megan, did a great job, and she's really the only point of the whole experience that doesn't give this a lower rating. When we came in, the hostess didn't even acknowledge us, which is a huge pet peeve. When someone did greet us, it was only a short wait to be seated. When we ordered, I specifically asked if the coleslaw has pineapple in it because I am allergic to pineapple. Megan assured us that it does not. Imagine my surprise when I found pieces of pineapple in the coleslaw. She was great & checked with the kitchen staff who informed her that with a recent change in staffing, the recipe changed and includes pineapple juice, but he insisted that there was no pineapple and I must have just found celery. I am certain it was not celery and, pineapple juice means that there is pineapple in the recipe. I don't plan on going back to any Jeremiah's because this is not okay. I tried to be proactive about avoiding an ingredient, and if the kitchen staff is making changes, wait staff needs to be informed so that customers can be informed. Stopped for dinner after an event we attended in Rochester. I heard the wings were good so I got the platter and it was Friday so the wife got the fish fry.

The wings were good, 7/10 for wings not in Buffalo. They were crispy but a little too crispy that they were dry. I tried the Korean BBQ and it was more like General Tso’s chicken than a true Korean BBQ. Solid blue cheese with the wings, 9/10 for that. Mac salad was good and I ordered a side of the Mac n Cheese to try. It was a good cheese sauce but found it odd that they cooked the weirdly shaped noodles and put the cheese sauce over to order??? Not sure but that’s what it looked like. There was dry edges to some noodles…. It was a 7/10? Not the best and not the worst I’ve had but honestly, not worth trying for a significant up charge IMHO. The fish fry was small compared to what we’re used to in Buffalo. Otherwise it was tasty and done well. 7/10 on that.

All in all I’d give the place a second chance and order burgers, sandwiches and wraps next time to see how those are. 4/5 overall.
