My husband put a Uber pick up order, Which stated that it would be ready at 11:23 for pick up. I took my two year-old with me to go and pick up the food, once I saw the food went from preparing the food to pick up at 11:23 P.m. I took my son and walked inside the store. There were a few people waiting for their food. The person behind the counter that was prepping the food asked me how he can help. I told him I am here for my pick up and I gave my husband’s name, he told me the food was not ready yet. I asked him, why not because on the app it says the food is ready? He said it is not ready, so I asked him how long do I have to wait he said five minutes. I was very agitated because I had my son with me who was sleepy and I wanted to do a quick pick up. He made me wait more than five minutes. I was inside the store for 15 minutes. After he prepped my food, I said to him you should not mark the food ready for pick up if the food is not ready he says sorry. But this is not the first time I’m having this incident at the store, anytime I go to pick up food it is Never ready. They say it is ready on the app only. This is very inconvenient, especially for people who have kids and who are trying to adjust their time accordingly. Therefore, their service is horrible. They had one person working the entire time and two people in the back. They need to hire more employees if they are extremely busy , the apology did not even feel sincere. I am very dissatisfied with the service of the store. Also, the purpose of a pick up is to pick up the food, not to go there and wait 15 minutes then I should have just went on the line and waited for him to prepare the food instead of having my husband place a pick up. What’s the point of a pick up if it’s not going to be on the time...
Read moreI asked for a falafel platter and a chicken sandwich and that's how a 25 minute odyssey started to get the stupid platter... no one knew what anyone was doing and no one told me that falafel would take longer. Also, falafel should be fried but these were little patties that were dry - air fried! - and hard as hockey pucks. They sat for 15 minutes and dried out more before finally being assembled in the platter dish.
I knew the falafel were there and no one listened. Finally the guy assembling my plate finished and then... LEFT IT THERE for the next person to hand it to me. I came very close to jumping over that counter to take the food that I had paid for almost a half hour earlier. But I didn't.
After 25 minutes and a million mistakes I finally got my food and then kept being accosted by apologizers who offered nothing to make it right. Nothing except words. I would have felt acknowledged with a free baklava or something but instead all they wanted was for me to STOP EATING so I could help them feel better about the terrible service.
