Stuff-A-Bagel — Restaurant in Town of Islip

You’ll never catch me eating form this establishment ever again. Been a local resident for years and decided that because of the ongoing pandemic I would rather order through Uber East for delivery instead of picking up in store. Because the bagels are made fresh everyday I figured I would call the store to make sure they had the bagel I wanted before placing my order (purely trying to make the process smoother for all and avoid any canceling of orders through Uber). Upon calling I was greeted with the most disrespectful and unnecessary attitude. I stated that I was looking to see if the French toast bagels were still available as I was about to order for delivery and wanted to double check - the man asks where I was delivering to, I told him my relative location - and he responded with “One bagel is way too little for me to deliver over there, That would cost me over $40 to do and that is absolutely not worth it” I responded that I planned on ordering about two dozen bagels and that I didn’t appreciate the attitude and I simply wanted to know if the bagels were available - to which the man replied “No no more French toast bagels and if you want something else I’m not delivering over there.” To which I swiftly replied “I was ordering through Uber Eats and you were never responsible for the delivery - I was just tying to ask a simple question.” To which he replies “Oh! What would you like??” I would like nothing after service like that nor will I continue to support a business that actively wants to pick fights with its customers for literally no reason. I understand the service industry can be challenging - I myself am a delivery driver For Postmates so I found the entire transaction to be very professional and unnecessary. He actively lost my business and all those I know in the community As there are many other fantastic bagels stores than this. To those who may be reading might I suggest “Higbie Bagel” located on higbie lane in west Islip - they have fantastic service and much better French toast bagels than Stuff A Bagel.it is undergoing construction currently so if that’s unavailable there is always “Bagel Boss” located on Main Street in Islip or “Bagel Buzz” also in West Islip. Offering these suggestions to further encourage customers away from this establishment - Long Island is full of amazing bagel places and we certainly don’t have to settle for disrespectful service and mediocre bagels - even if they are in walking distance to your house ( but somehow can’t deliver!?) big negative review here, very upset at the treatment and hope others are discouraged from Continuing to support them...

I normally am not the person to write a review good or bad. I work in the retail industry myself and know that mistakes happen. We ordered breakfast for about 6 people at work and when the food arrived nothing was correct bagels were rolls and so on. My omlette in particular was supposed to be vegetable and came as eggs and bacon mixed together. Not to mention it had an entire shell in it. Ok fine like I said they were busy and mistakes happen. Then I called the person that picked up the phone claimed to take the order and make it himself. Apparently I was wrong I placed the order wrong and there was no shell in my omelette. silly me. this is the second day in a row we ordered from here and a large order to boot. we will never again patron this...

If i could leave this place 0.0 stars i would! Not only are they the RUDEST staff ever but they are so unorganized. I called at 1:30 to say what time does your grill shut off for a BEC, the man says 2pm (miguel) i come in the door at 1:35 and never greeted and finally the women asks what i need i say a bec she says no our grills off. I said no i just called the man said 2, she says no our phone never rang, i proceed to my calls list and show her the 1 minute phone call and they all just are stuttering as if no one just spoke to me. This is about the 3rd time this has happened, they are rude, lazy, unorganized, and i truly dont know why they are still open. Will make sure i tell everyone NOT to come here. Horrible...
