TGI Fridays — Restaurant in Town of Islip

Never have I visited a restaurant and never leave a tip. We walked in and no one is in front, no greeters, no attention, nothing. Eventually, a person came and seated us. We didn't even know she worked there as she was dressed as any regular person. There was hardly anyone there, but we had to wait so long before anyone came. Erika served us. At first, she was fine, took our drinks and order at once. Food came well and that's when everything went down hill. We had 3 entrees of endless shrimp. We waited and waited and waited.. she never came. She was too busy socializing and completely forgotten about us. Another server was very attentive to his 3 tables and we politely asked him to call our server. He did and again, she never came. 10 min later, we asked the same waiter who came over multiple times already to his customers. I asked him again, can I please have anyone? A nice gentleman came over and took our drink and our shrimp. But afterwards, he did walk to Erika and apparently said something.. she returned with our shrimp and this time, with an attitude. Just dropped down our plates and said nothing. How dare she! By far, the worse experience ever from an establishment as this. We asked her for boxes and for our bill, again.. said nothing. I got up and asked the gentleman to run our card because I am not waiting another minute for her. There was so much opportunity to make this right and she absolutely failed. We had endless shrimp but unable to deliver that promise to a customer. After an hour and a half, I really had enough of that and extremely disappointed with the overall experience at this location. I highly advise that someone looks on getting trained to continue good service I will receive at any of your other establishments. I am an executive in the service industry and owner of a business, customer service is so invaluable that without it, you lose loyal customers.

Was recently here with a party of 7 who were visiting from out of town. When we arrived, there were a total of maybe 8 people dining in the entire restaurant. We waited about 40 minutes just to receive our appetizers which btw I was ready to go. The rest of the party was more forgiving in the sense that there was only 1 waitress working the entire restaurant. Finally after an hour she comes to takes the order, which at the point we asked to speak to the manager. As the manager approaches, he has the copy of someone else's bill along with their credit card and attempts to hand it to our table. It was then that we knew the Kanard(the acting Assistant Manager on shift) was just as incompetent as the rest of the staff. We then explained the situation to him and his response was that there was a party of 30 people that they were attending to, which btw arrived at the restaurant after we were seated and put in our order, but somehow received their food, before we received ours. At that point we were all highly dissatisfied by the way in which we were treated and decided to leave. Between the fact that the beverages were watered down because they had no one to make them in a timely fashion to deliver to our tables, and the Assistants Managers attitude in handling the situation and not even coming to apologize for the way in which we were treated. I NOR ANYONE IN MY PARTY WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION. NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!! THE WORST SERVICE EVER! DO NOT...

Complete nightmare! Lorenzo is probably the worst manager I've seen yet and im a manager myself. 30 minutes before the waitress who was new came to the table. Drinks took another 15 minutes because 1 bartender and Lorenzo was showing the waitress how to make the drinks at the same time. Im pescatarian so I dont eat meat, ask for fish and chips and they bring me chicken tenders, luckily I noticed before biting and manager Lorenzo said sorry they look the same (it doesnt). Also didnt eat the fish because it was an oily mess. We were there for 2 hours just trying to have a drink and eat, drinks were straight sugar, my wife asked for a side of bbq and they subbed my appetizer sauce for bbq sauce, I say to manager Lorenzo for a Saturday 1 new girl is pretty crazy, his reply " I have 2 girls im not under staff", my wife lost her patience and did let out some profanity but shockingly and unprofessional Lorenzo loudly repeated the profanity as he seem to have been loosing his cool. This manager needs hard-core training or different profession. If you cant take the heat get out the kitchen, also learn how to staff, 2 hours 1 new girl taking orders and checks, I will never come back to this fridays.
