My family has been coming to this restaurant for about 15 years. - we used to love this place. We rode through a few bad "periods" of poor waitstaff, and burned pizzas, then the pandemic, but we always returned. We came back 3 times in the past few weeks, and sadly, decided that we won't be coming back. Tonight the wait staff was friendly but otherwise terrible. No one ever came back to check on us. We had to go find our own forks and napkins when we needed more. A cup of water was spilled and we went to find our waitress - she said, "oh I'll clean it up after you leave." Meanwhile, our guest had their feet in a puddle! On top of that, there was no offer to replace the glass of water. The dinnerware is very stained and scratched and the utensils are so thin that my fork literally bent in half when cutting my pizza. Unfortunately, the place is just filthy - there is dust on all the booths, pictures, and even the fixtures in the bathroom, grimy floors. The pizza was just ok, not as good as years past. From the moment we entered, the tantalizing aroma of freshly baked pizzas enveloped us, promising a memorable evening. Opting to dine inside, we were welcomed by a cozy ambiance and attentive staff, setting the stage for an exceptional culinary adventure. The Sausage and Broccoli Rabe pizza showcased a perfect balance of flavors, while the classic Sausage Pizza and the indulgent Large Meat Lovers Pizza Pie delighted our taste buds with their high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. We also relished a cheese calzone, its gooey center encased in golden, flaky dough. The attention to detail and the use of fresh, top-notch ingredients were evident in every bite, reflecting the restaurant's dedication to culinary excellence. The staff's warm hospitality and the inviting atmosphere added to the overall charm, making our evening at The Pie at Salvatore's truly unforgettable. Read moreDisregard the ignorant comments about their small menu. They do few things and they do them all well. Their salads are all delicious, my personal favorite being the tossed because it comes with a delicious house dressing and best of all...Carmelized pecans! The garlic bread aka garlic pizza is seasoned well...I could eat the whole pie! Their pizza is the highlight at The Pie. The coal fired pizza is unique and perfect. I personally love the crispy eggplant on top, or plain old Margherita. The rigatoni is delicious, as well as the meatballs.
I've also had an anniversary party at the pie. They took care of everything but decorations. They even threw in free meals for kids and cannolis when there wasn't enough cake.
Overall, the Pie is my go to pizza place...
