Taqueria Los Amigos — Restaurant in Town of New Hartford

It was busy so it took a minute for someone to come over. But then she didn't write our drink order down, had to come back and get it. Fine. When she came back to get our drink orders she got our food order. There were 2 other couples that got there the same time as us that ordered not even 5 minutes before we did and they got there food and finished their meals before ours even got to our table. 45+ minutes for food to get to the table. Food was hot when it got to the table thankfully. Tasted alright. But the excuse for why it took so long was take out orders and that doesn't explain why people that ordered maybe 5 minutes before us got their food in half the time, if that. Will not be returning. Went here for lunch today. Food was very good. Even the chips and salsa were exceptional. My only complaint is I ordered a margarita and was then asked if I wanted a small or large. So I responded ," I guess I'll have a large." So about a minute and a half later , this guy brings over this huge monstrosity of a drink! I mean HUGE! Thank God I only ordered a house margarita and not one of the more expensive ones! This thing was $25.00 by itself! There was a couple in a booth behind me that got scammed the same way but theirs were $30.00 apiece. That poor guy was in $60 before their food even showed up! So yes, the food is good here. I appreciate the fact that the owners want to take part in the American dream, but their limited grasp of the English language is frustrating. My husband asked the server three times what was inside the beef burrito because he won't eat peppers or onions. The server didn't understand what he was being asked. This could potentially be a dangerous situation if patrons have food allergies. I ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole' sauce. The sauce tasted like they burned the chocolate.
