We recently went here for our anniversary dinner. We were sat right away with no wait which was awesome. But it kinda went downhill after that. Our server quickly said hi to us and then said she would be right back. Sometime went by and other employee asked us if our server had been to our table. We said yes and that we were just waiting for her to come back. She finally came back and apologized for the wait and said something along the lines of her computer being broken? We said no worries and proceeded to order our whole meal including drinks as we had enough time to decide while we waited for her to come back. . She eventually brought us our drinks and the appetizer and then disappeared for a while. I could see her at the bar on multiple occasions appearing to flirt with one of the customers sitting there ( for quite some time ) . Eventually she came back over with a Caesar salad in her hand and asked if we had received ours. We said no not yet, and then she walked away with the Cesar salad still in her hand and went through an employee door. About 10 seconds later another server came out that same door with which appeared to be the same cease salad and places it on our table. A short while after that our server brought out our meals. She checked on us for a brief moment after that and then we didn’t see her for the rest of the night. We finished up and stacked the dishes to the side of the table waiting for her to come back to see if we could have a box. About 20 minutes went by and the same employee from earlier asked if our orginal had been back to give us a box? We said no and he apologized and got us a box. After we packed the leftovers we waited patiently for her to come back so we could order dessert. Almost 35 mins went by and she never came back. Finally the same employee as earlier again came with our bills and apologized on her behalf and mumbled something about him“ having a conversation about everything with the boss” We hadn’t said anything about the situation we just kept quiet, so obviously they knew this experience and service was less then ideal. When we looked at the bill we thought maybe they would make up for it by offering a discount for the inconvenience or maybe comping our drinks ( a Coke and a Pip) but unfortunately they did not. They just offered another apology when we were leaving after we paid
We’ve been here once before and it was great. However this time has us wondering if we will return. Hopefully they can give this server some training so she doesn’t miss out on potential tips from costumers ( we still tipped her , as we hoped maybe some of it would go to those...
Read moreMy parents and I stopped in for lunch. We had not been here in about 7 months and this time it was my dad's choice! He particularly enjoys the Texas Onion appetizer as do we all and the bread that is complementary. My dad and I ordered the lunch prime rib on French bread with the shrimp and lobster chowder and my mother ordered the French onion soup with Caesar salad. Samantha was our waitress and she was excellent! When she did her table check we knew she was busy and really didn't want to let her know that we were not too thrilled about our food. At the end of the meal I asked for a takeout container for the Chowder as it was great and I knew I would not be able to eat it all. She asked how everything was and at that point I had to say something. I could not lie. My dad and I both thought the prime rib was dry and overcooked in the kitchen perhaps due to melting the cheese under the salamander. The bread was not great so we did not eat it. I would suggest an onion bun or brioche bun even though we have had the prime rib before but it has always been good. There was no Crouton in my mom's French onion soup and the Caesar salad leaves were way too big, some brown Parts found and the dressing did not taste good. Our waitress spoke to Andrew the manager who came to visit us at the table and we told him about our experience. He apologized and was kind enough to comp a couple of the meals which was very nice of him. The customer service was very good after all. We will return again but we will try something different. Read moreUnfortunately even though our waitress was personable and funny, she wasn't the best at checking on our table. We were left with empty drinks until we could finally flag someone down, she removed 1 app fish from the table and left approximately 8+ dirty dishes, an empty bread board, and the empty cups on the table from start to end. It was quite cramped at the end of the meal! Our plates must have sat in the window for quite a while because when we got them, the food was like warm at best and my steak was still mooing! I asked for mid/mid well and I got rare. I'm surprised the butter I finally got was actually able to melt in my potato! The check was messed up and it ended up that we were actually double charged for our meal at two different prices, and finally, after 6 days, they finally refunded our money we were owed, and that was after I notified them online through X!
Unfortunately this isn't the only time there was a mess up here. The last time we got takeout and they gave our bag to someone else, and before they brought it back inside they decided to take the bread, utensils and a couple other things from our bag. When it was returned, the restaurant decided to just give us the bag without checking it again and when I got home I noticed things were missing. Not to mention the fact I paid almost $30 for a small 6oz cut and had a few pieces of broccoli... Very disappointing. That situation should have been handled differently. After it being returned, they should have scrapped the bag and started over with the whole order!! How does anyone know if those other people did something to out food, besides taking some stuff they obviously wanted for...
