Despite the heavy Northern West coast style rain that plagued our region last night, we had delicious dinner out with friends, which delighted us. Amongst what we enjoyed were a an appetizer of Portobello mushrooms and roasted peppers. These were delicious! The soup du jour was large bowl of Manhattan Clam Chowder, cooked to perfection. The main Main meals consisted of a “Steak Michael,” which was sautéed in a natural beef sauce with mushrooms, asparagus, tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and yellow peppers. A Lobster Imperial: 2 four-ounce lobster tails and crab meat, sautéed in a white cream sauce, which was delicious with generous proportions. And finally, a dish of Fried Sausage and Peppers, sautéed in a meat sauce with spaghetti, also in a meat sauce. That, along with a nice bottle of Montepulciano D’Abruzzo wine, and two bowls of steamed clams, which were only $5.00 a dozen on special, made for a delicious evening, along with a lively conversation peppered throughout. Despite being extremely busy, even for a 6 o’clock reservation on a Wednesday night, the service, largely performed by a coterie of young women who were very professional and quick, came quite rapidly and efficiently. Everyone was friendly, cordial and professional. I wondered why so many people were there mid week. The reason was that they have a periodic special on Wednesdays with steamed clams, which again were a bargain at only five dollars a dozen. Highly recommended. Buon appetito!

I would advise anyone looking to eat at this restaurant to steer very clear of it. RUN, do not walk, in the other direction of Moscatiello’s. There were dead cockroaches on the bathroom floor. See picture I submitted with this review. When I went to the bathroom, I looked down and saw multiple cockroaches dead on the floor that someone had killed. Everyone who works in pest services know that if there are cockroaches anywhere in a restaurant, they are also in the kitchen. This isn’t just unacceptable, but it’s a very real health hazard and risk. To say I am absolutely in shock and repulsed at what I saw is an understatement.

Wednesdays, they have a $5.00 dz steamed clams appetizer so we finally took the short ride to a restaurant we've been fond of for years. Its always been a mainstay for family events and fundraisers but it's also a first class dining place. Happy hour prices for the bar patrons offer generous glasses of wine and 22oz beers for the pint price. The clams were amazing as was the fresh calamari with a spicy marinara. Also had the peperoni bread with marinara which was 5 stars! Great staff and service, plenty of parking. They have an extensive variety on the menu which never disappoints. Treat yourself!

Worst Italian restaurant that I have ever eaten in. I do not usually take the time to leave a review, but if it saves anyone else from the experience that we had, it is worth it. We had reservations for 6:15pm, three weeks in advance, for 23 people ranging in age from 1 to 81. Everyone in our party was in a good mood as we had just come from my son’s wedding rehearsal. We arrived on time and were set up in a private room with three tables (that was the only thing Moscatiello’s Italian Family Restaurant did right.) We had one waitress who was trying, unsuccessfully, to handle all of us along with other tables in the main section of the restaurant. We wasted no time ordering our entrées as soon as the drinks were put on the table. We were all hungry and looking forward to the main course. An hour and fifty minutes later we still had absolutely no food, except for the bread that was placed on each table. Frustrated, I left the room to go speak with a manger (Eric.) His response to my complaint was simply, “we’re busy.” Not an appropriate response, especially for a “manager,” in my opinion. When I further complained, he said that he would talk with the owner who was in the kitchen. No one made any attempt to address the issue after that. Two hours after we arrived the meals were served. The food was not served hot and was mediocre at best. One of our guests has a severe dairy food allergy. Our waitress was informed of this when his entrée was ordered but served his pasta with cheese on top (she did apologize and said that the kitchen had been informed but messed up.) By this time, the restaurant was emptying out. Our waitress started to clear the tables and take dessert orders, but did not write anything down; creating a situation where several dessert orders were never served and the ones that were had to be enjoyed with many left-over entrées still on the table. I was hoping to enjoy and treat our good friends and family to a nice Italian meal at Moscatiello’s. Unfortunately, it was anything but and I left feeling guilty and embarrassed for picking this location. We would have been better off eating in a pizzeria or...

We had a party of 5 last night. First let’s just say the place isn’t much to look at. Dated vital table covers and chairs. No type of background music to break up the noise of others being loud. 2nd is the food is sub par!!! For what they charge it’s not worth it. I myself had the veal parmigiana with spaghetti. The veal was cold and tough to eat. The pasta water had soaked the veal, if that is what they claim it is. We waited 20 minutes just to get some water and hard bread. My other guests ordered clams and then pasta dishes. One other ordered the Stromboli that looked like it was pressed in a roller system. Flat and mostly bread. 3rd is we felt very uncomfortable due to having one of my guest that is blind and her husband is a black gentleman. People stared at us and the service became worse. Our server couldn’t even act attentive towards us. When the gentleman went up front to make a complaint, the front service counter acted like he didn’t exist. 4th I ordered a drink that is very popular in Italian restaurants. Took 20 minutes to get her to come back, just to tell me they didn’t have it. So I ordered a different drink on the rocks, from my chair to 3 chairs away she forgot what I asked for. When she brought my drink it was straight up. Upon paying the bill I informed the front counter of what a horrible experience for us especially me seeing it was my first time. He didn’t really care and said “I’ll look into it” No apology!!! We spent almost 500.00 to get ignored due to having a black gentleman and his white blind wife. What a shame. I won’t return and I doubt our guests won’t either. Shame on you for doing this!!!! We are all firefighters from different houses so guess what it’s going to spread like wildfire how we were treated at your establishment!!! DON’T SUPPORT THIS PLACE!!!...

The family had a post baptismal reception here recently for my son and my niece. We reserved one of the bigger rooms weeks in advance only to arrive and be told we would be moved into a smaller room due to the restaurant over booking. We were told the room would still be comfortable enough to accommodate our 40 guests. It was not. It was very cramped for 40 guests and not to mention the temperature in the room was 82 degrees when we arrived. The air conditioning was not working at all (in July). One of the employees put an Air Mover unit by the entryway to try to cool the room off but anyone who works in construction knows those units are used to dry floors not cool off a room. One of the servers told us they had someone working on the A/C making us believe that is recently went down however when I asked one of the bartenders about it they said the A/C in thay room had been down for weeks. By the time we left it was still 79 degrees in the room so the staff didn't do much. The restaurant manager wasn't in the least sympathetic to our situation and offered us no discount or compensation for this horrendous experience. I wonder why some of the people working here are even in the customer service field when they clearly didn't care about their guests. I speak for the entire family when I say we were very disappointed with the entire experience. On a positive note the two servers we had were quick and did a good job. The food was OK, not great. Definetly will not ever do business for our future family...
