Bagel & Bialys — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

OK, I’m gonna give this place a top rating. Doesn’t have that signature egg bagel taste that I like personally but if you’re looking for a fresh bagels and you’re looking for seasoned bagels, I can’t think of a better place. Bagels are fresh and tasty and they’re soft. What more could you ask for?

The place I’m talking about is Bagels & Bialys in 1152 Willis Ave, Albertson, NY 11507.

When you come into the bagel shop, you immediately get the aroma and freshness of the bagels. This is stand out feature. I’ve gone to many bagels places and whenever I do go, I do not get a nice, aroma like this one.

I’ll have to be mindful now to include the smell of the bagel shops in review going forward, but I can say this , If you want to go to a good smelling bagel shop, this is surely one of them.

The everything flat bagel is good. I tried the everything egg bagel and I recommend it. I will need to go back again to try it when I’m not sick but I can say this they’re fresh, they’re soft, and tasty. The seasoning on the everything bagel is well done. The flavors come out and I think this is a part of the freshness of the sesame seeds poppy seeds garlic I believe I got one fennel and yes, there is the fennel.

Absolutely fed up with Bagel and Bialys. I’ve given this place too many chances, but today was the last straw. I ordered two bagel egg sandwiches with cheese. Got home and — surprise — no cheese on either sandwich. I called and let them know, and instead of apologizing properly, they told me I wasn’t charged for cheese. That’s not the point — they wrote it down right in front of me. They admitted they messed up the order but still acted like they were doing me a favor by offering to remake it “just this one time.”

So I drove all the way back, brought the incorrect sandwiches with me, and when I handed them over, the woman behind the counter slam-dunked them into the trash like it was my fault. Then, to top it off, she charged me $4 for the cheese — on the remake of their mistake.

This kind of rude, dismissive behavior is completely unacceptable. And it’s not even the first time they’ve gotten my order wrong — but this was the most disrespectful experience I’ve had at any deli. I will never be going back, and I suggest others think twice before spending...

I’ve been too many bagel places, and my obsession is definitely Bagels and Bialys, this spot is amazing. There are numerous Bagel spots and I have been so many of them. They absolutely do not live up to this place. I used to live in Queens and I moved to Suffolk County and I could not find a Bagel spot. Now I come here on my commute, and it is absolutely worth coming off of the Long Island expressway, and driving around to get a bagel here. The Bagels come straight of the oven and you can see them being made. They have a crispy crunch on the outside and sre soft and chewy on the inside, and I have tried about every flavor of bagel, and every single one is excellent.
