Doce Empanadas and coffee — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I first found out about Doce Empanadas because my cousin would not stop talking about these bomb empanadas she had tried. I searched them up on uber eats and they were there. For empanadas they had some intriguing flavors and I had to order them all. So for lunch I order cheese, chicken, spinach, Hawaiian, beef and ham and cheese. Even tho I was at work which was 15 minutes away from Doce Empanadas when I got the food delivered it was still warm and delicious. The packaging was great. It was so good that I came back after work and ate them again for dinner. I ended up trying the Buffalo chicken, beef, bbq pork and sausage. The customer service was just so good they were so friendly. I told them about my lunch ordered and the chef remembered my name from the Uber eats order. The place was clean and spacious. They had board games while you wait for your freshly made empanadas. The parking was really easy as you can park right in front of the store and overall I will be ordering more empanadas from doce. I’m not gonna lie, it is the best empanadas I’ve ever had. OMG I almost forgot about the price, the price is really fair and worth it for the quality and taste of the empanadas. Let’s talk empanadas. The beef empanadas with olives are a flavor explosion – that briny hit from the olives blends perfectly with the savory beef. And the spinach and cheese empanada? Absolute perfection. The spinach flavor shines through and pairs beautifully with the crispy pastry and gooey cheese.

But my favorite has to be the Hawaiian empanada. I’m a big fan of pineapple and ham, and this empanada nails that sweet and salty combo.

Don’t even get me started on the roasted potatoes – they are to die for. Every time I’ve been here, the food is fresh, cooked to perfection, and leaves me wanting more.

It’s Sunday and I notice that my GPS is telling me that my very anticipated visit to Doce Empanadas would be postponed until the upcoming weekend because my excitement did not notice they are closed on a Sunday, which made my whole work week linger. But soon enough the weekend came along and my wait did not disappoint. When I tell you every bite of these empanadas is filled with flavor. They are made to order and served hot. Every edge of this empanada is filled with flavor. I honestly wasn’t shy and after my first 3-4 empanadas, my wife and I decided to just taste the menu. The dough itself is flaky, no grease and cooked to perfection. And I can’t forget their in house sauces, just go so well. These empanadas just took me back home to Puerto Rico.
