SO GLAD they said it was going to; BUT: VERY SADLY, So Far; it Hasn't!!!. Once Just ok; &, NEVER understandable; by most all; for: what it might've been; But: WasN'T! The old owners were HUGELY; DANGEROUSLY; &: TOXICALLY: SICK!!; &: that's true, since: LONG Ago!; &, they NEVER will: recover!; making any hopes of positive permanent change there: 100% Impossible!!!. This place was; &, Is: A, New, hi-standard of: BAD!. [EDIT: Sadly this was the, 1, real Japanese place, still left; but, as of: 10/17/22; it became yet another FAKE Japanese place, actually run now by: Chino-Korean operators! All these setbacks; have been hard. Some having; a, positive effect; &, others: VERY BAD; which is the, true; but, sad case of this, rather small HOLE!; It IS: Absolutely HORRIBLE to go there!]. For those that don't feel, that way; I feel: why go there, if it only seems better, since it's FALSE Jpnse; but, operated; in ways, nearly: 100% Guaranteed to: bring bad experiences; Always!!. Let me tell you about a little family run shop that truly treats you like family.

The owner is an older gentleman, who treats his staff well and you can find him chatting with customers and also cleaning the tables.

They have two 6-seater tatami seating areas. Plenty of 2 to 6 seated tables that can be combined if you have a large party.

Parking in front on the street and in the rear of the establishment.

My first visit to the place was with my wife. We sat in the tatami seating area. There was a party of 10+ people celebrating the lunar new year, the waitress was very attentive to all parties.

We had lunch (12-3 pm) special, any three rolls for $16 (all Salmon Avocado). I also ordered a chicken katsu curry over rice. My wife ordered the any three rolls order as well.

I eat a lot and usually would not get full from three rolls. But let me tell you, those Salmon Avocado Roll Pieces were very large. I had almost no room left when I began the Chicken katsu curry. That curry was delicious, I had to take the rest home because I was so full from the rolls.

I went back with co-workers the next day for their happy hour (4-6:30 PM). A lot of choices were $6 (cheaper than the original $7-9 at regular prices). I ordered a gyoza, a long island roll and spicy salmon roll and one piece of Scallop Sushi. That scallop sushi was spot on and I ordered two more.

End of the night comes, we stayed until 7 something got the check and left.

My lovely wife texted me just as I got in the car that she wants pork katsu curry. I walk back in, let the owner know I want to order something to go. He then asked me to have a seat, offered me a beer, sadly I had to pass because of driving and work (gotta be safe). Then finds me a ramune drink, says it's on the house and we chat. We talk about his days when he was younger back in Japan, he asks how I found the place.

When I left with my take out, it felt like I had connected with an old friend. That is the vibe I get from this place.

From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed into a clean, calm, and beautifully arranged space. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, with thoughtful seating arrangements that allowed us to truly enjoy our meal without feeling crowded or rushed.

We ordered the Koiso Sushi Platter B, Shumai, and the Kani Mango Salad – and every bite was a delight. The Sushi Platter B was a true masterpiece, showcasing an incredible variety of fresh, flavorful fish, perfectly seasoned rice, and meticulous presentation. Each piece felt like it was crafted with care and expertise. The Shumai was delicate and savory, cooked to perfection with a wonderful texture that melted in the mouth. The Kani Mango Salad was the perfect refreshing complement to the meal — light, sweet, and full of vibrant flavors that balanced beautifully with the sushi.

The service was also excellent — friendly, attentive, and respectful of our space, adding to the already relaxing atmosphere.
