Idk where to even start but I came here tonight for my reservation at 745 and it was a super busy night for them so we had to wait which was fine. So I came in with my fiancé and mother-in-law who has never had Italian food and I was excited for her to try it since I’ve been here before. My MIL and fiancé celebrate Ramadan and it was time for breaking fast (when it’s time to eat). We sat by the bar and I went up to the hostess and asked her if they could just give us some water and a bread basket so my fiancé and MIL could have something since they didn’t eat or drink anything all day. No one at the bar acknowledged we existed. The boss Brian comes around again that’s when I asked for the second time if we could get bread so they could eat and he gave me an attitude and said we are busy and I need to wait at least ten minutes. So our table wasn’t ready and now we had to wait 10 more mins. How can you not have any understanding of one of the main religions in the world (Islam) and bring something over that takes one minute? We all know Italian restaurants give out bread baskets right as you sit down and I would think me explaining my family is fasting, he’d have compassion. It was sad for us to leave the restaurant just to grab some water, which should have been served at the bar we were waiting at. We ended up coming back when our table was ready as we were starving, just made sure not to cross paths with the man who we felt was biased towards us for our colored skin.
A little history, My fiancé and I even came here to celebrate my engagement early this year and we were considering having our ceremony after-party/dinner here later this year, which when I called they told me their rates and menu. Unfortunately, this conversation continued further after having dinner here and it happened to be with Brian who gave us a hard time from the beginning. The menu and rates instantly changed when he realized he was dealing with us.
Honestly. We would love to come back but only on days, he isn’t working. If you can’t handle the stress of a busy work environment, you shouldn’t be in customer service. I work in customer service too so I understand the frustration when it gets busy but that’s not how you treat a customer who is asking for a simple request of water and a breadbasket. Brian didn’t come by to check on us during our meal or acknowledge any misunderstandings. He got his feelings across though, that we are unwelcome at this restaurant for being people of different color...
Read moreI just had a mayor issue with matteos roslyn. This is my favorite restaurant restaurant to order from, got my mon obsessed with it as well. My company gave out $50 worth of food for our holiday sales meeting which had to be used the same day. I placed an order that same thursday the 3rd to get it delivered by Uber eats Sat 5th at 7:15-7:35 since my mom and myself were done with a diet that day. As i left work today saturday at 7 thinking that by the time i got home i was gonna have my favorite food waiting for me. When i went to the app to check on the status the Restaurant ended up canceling the food 15 mins prior to when my order was supposed to get delivered. I called the restaurant to see if there was an issue on my part they told me that they had the uber eats turned off because they were busy.. I explained that i ordered 2 days in advance, she then passed me to a manager to see if they could do something about the situation. When i spoke to the manager he didn’t even apologized for the situation, i explained about the money that i was not gonna be able to redeem, he went about telling me it wasn’t their fault that it was uber that canceled the order and they had the order ready for me if i wanted to pick it up, i told him i was confused because the app says that the restaurant was the one that canceled and the person that picked up confirmed that it was in fact the restaurant that canceled last minute. He literally told me “well, have a good night, bye” and hung up. It was so disrespectful and hurtful specially from my...
Read moreSHOCKED is what I was after my 6th and final time visiting. Forget that drinks took almost as long to get than to order. Forget that waiter walked away after taking 3 appetizer orders from 1 guest but never asked the others. Forget that the main courses(halibut was good) took 25 min. to be brought out after the appetizers. THIS WAS ALL DONE WITH 4 TABLES OF GUESTS IN THE WHOLE PLACE. This was not the pièce de résistance...5 children are brought into kitchen to make ice cream deserts and while watching them a waiter- through no fault of the kids on OTHER SIDE OF TABLE spills a burning hot(no other way to serve it) cup of espresso on my arm from above the elbow almost to my wrist. ACCIDENTS HAPPEN and thank god it was on me and not the kids. NO I did not call an ambulance(I should have)for the scorching I got. Neither did I even think of a lawsuit. Not only did the owner not comp me coffee and the deserts($25 out of $435 check) that melted while I was treating my burn but he had the audacity to say to me "I have had worse". Im sure if it was his hand that was burned with scorching hot coffee I would not have felt that bad. Cared more about an extra couple of $$$ than to do the right thing to someone who was harmed in his establishment. Most places would have just comp'ed the entire check to A)avoid a lawsuit and B)make the customer feel that they were remorseful and he can come back again. Cant wait to see what happens when presented with the hospital bill in which I will not use...
