Crawfords - Great Neck: Lunch Goals suburban vibes ā¤ļø
Today, my fiancĆ© and I stopped by Crawfords for lunchāit wasnāt my first visit, but it was our first time together, and wow, what a win!
The lentil soup was super fresh, like someone just picked the lentils off the farm this morningāwarm, hearty, and bursting with flavor.
But the real MVP.... The toasted avocado š„ - Thick, golden-crusted bread piled high with creamy, perfectly seasoned avocado, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with fresh herbs. Crunchy, creamy, and downright dreamyāthis was comfort food with style.
There are no photos šø for this review because, letās be realāsometimes the best photos of food are the ones you eat. And trust me, we didnāt leave a crumb!
Even though we were just passing through, Crawfords made us feel like regulars. This place always delivers, and todayās lunch was everything we didnāt know we needed.
A must for anyone who also dreams of delicious...
Ā Ā Ā Read more$14 āCheeseā and veggie āOmeletteā made with powdered eggs, barely any cheese to speak of after having them fix the order since they forgot the cheese in the first place. Had to add hot sauce, salt and pepper to give it any flavour whatsoever.
1 scrawny side of whole wheat toast, which allowed me to eat about half the āomeletteā. Maybe itās a good thing, as I couldnāt take another bite of the single worst āomeletteā Iāve ever had. Even budget hotels serve a better āomeletteā in their free breakfast.
Served scalding hot and burnt my palate, complained about this entire disaster of a concoction and was told it was my fault for eating it too hot.
DO NOT RECOMMEND, certainly not with plenty of other kosher options...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOverpriced and underwhelming food. Everything has an extra charge. I tried to order an avocado toast but then I realized that it was literally smashed avocado over bread, with one topping. If you would like anything more than one topping, it's an additional $1.25. I also ordered a cream cheese bagel and let me tell you... it was saddest looking bagel ever, kind of an embarrassment to New York. The bread looked like it was flattened and barely had any cream cheese filling. Plus, they refused to share their wifi password DESPITE there being a wifi tagged: CrawfordsGuests. Do yourself a favor and skip out on this spot. There are plenty of spots within a 5 minute drive with much better coffee...
