Schmackary's — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I was lucky enough to snag an invite to the Yelp Elite Event for Schmackary's. This cookie company has been in Manhattan but Albertson is their first Long Island location. I took my son with me, you would think a 9 year old would be all about free cookies but he just wanted to stay outside on the bench and play with his cell phone.

When I got in I got a free pass for my son and I to get a complimentary cookie and there were so many cookies laid out to sample as well as some samples of lattes they had. I do not know what kind of latte samples I drank, I just drank two like I was downing alcoholic shots and knew I liked them. I had a small piece of blueberry cobbler cookie offered to me that was delicious.

I got my free cookie and my son's free cookie and I bought two extra cookies home to my dad and my sister. I got two caramel apple crisp cookies, one peanut butter cup and one chocolate chip. This morning I stress ate the peanut butter cup cookie on the way to work for breakfast because I was stressing about getting into work late, I was a minute late :( It was good stress eating.

The staff was very friendly, I would be very happy working with cookies all day that must boost their friendliness factor up a little more.

I loved the design of the store and the art on the walls.

You have to come to Schmackary's and eat some cookies, have a milk shake, get a coffee....

I’m deeply disappointed with my recent experience at this location. I specifically asked if any of the cookies contained tree nuts, as I have a severe allergy. I was told that none of the cookies had tree nuts. Trusting that information, I consumed one — only to suffer a severe allergic reaction, including vomiting.

Whether this was due to mislabeling, lack of training, or negligence, it’s unacceptable. Allergies are a serious health issue, not a casual preference. If you're someone with dietary restrictions or food allergies, I strongly urge you to be cautious.

Schmackary’s needs to take food allergies seriously and train their staff accordingly. I hope this review helps others stay safe.

I am NOT interested in going to any cookie place with the SCHMACKARY'S name on it ever again.

If you want to go to a cookie place, CONSIDER going to Duchess Cookies instead, their cookies are soft, tasty, and they are honest about the ingredients they use on...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We are so excited to have Schmackary’s in Albertson! The cookies are absolutely beyond delicious—truly the best I’ve had out of all the cookie spots around. Each one is perfectly baked and bursting with flavor.

They offer so many different cookie flavors, there’s something for everyone! My personal favorites so far are the s’mores and classic chocolate chip—they’re out of this world.

The staff is incredibly warm, welcoming, and friendly, which makes the experience even sweeter. And it’s not just cookies—they also serve ice cream and the most amazing milkshakes that are definitely worth coming back for.
