Well, we didn't really get to have a full experience there but some sour tasting store bought bagged pita bread and soup, it was just as well based on how it started out and how it ended in the 45 minutes, we sat there, in a jampacked place that just couldn't seem to keep up with the volume and orders were coming in from takeout and busy dining room pretty slammed on Father's Day. We came in and seated quickly, as there were still a few small tables.
We started with a soup, which took some time to come but it eventually did and glad for anything to tide us over. Seeing how busy and staff running around stressed, it wasn't a calm scene while we observed waiting now another 30 minutes after we finished the very mediocre soup that was also overpriced and insulting for how they try to pass it off as a true Avoglemono soup, I say try harder, I've had it plenty enough. Our order was one simple too, basically grilling meat on skewers that would be done all within 10 minutes. French fries that would be thrown into a fryer and taken out after 5 minutes. Plate and serve. What were the major delays that night? Take out order priority over dining room patrons, as usual. That's what I always suspect.
After our 45 minutes there, our food never came and we asked what was going on, so, the girl said she would be right back to tell us that somehow our order was "never put in". WHAT? I smelled BS instantly. Our table was literally along their path in and out of the kitchen, how could they not know or realize we didn't have any food or our order wasn't in or served when she was the very person who took our order? We said then, BYE. Left her a small tip even and she said soup was on them, which was no favor. Facade of a good Greek place to me. Unbelievable and we were glad to go, felt relieved to be getting out of there. Vibe was not vibing in any way. Busy, yea, I get it but like that? Wow....
Read moreWe had a very nice and casual l dining experience at Greek Town, a new spot that’s already making a great impression! The food was absolutely delicious, starting with the trio of spreads—hummus, eggplant, and feta—which were rich in flavor and paired perfectly with fresh pita.
For our main courses, we enjoyed the lamb chops served with rice and vegetables—cooked beautifully and full of flavor. The gyro was fresh and well-seasoned, and the Greek salad was crisp and refreshing.
To finish, we had their homemade baklava, which was perfectly sweet and flaky, along with a delightful Turkish coffee.
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy authentic Greek flavors. The staff is very nice and friendly.
It's currently BYOB, but they’re in the process of obtaining a liquor license, so that may change soon. Definitely...
Read moreI was disappointed with my recent experience at Greek Town. I ordered 2 yeeros, one with no tomato and one with no onion, and a can of Coke for pickup, was told 20 minutes. I showed up around 25 minutes later and was told it would be another few minutes. After 10-15 minutes my order was ready however they had no Coke. When I arrived home and opened the bag both yeeros had onions, neither had tomato. Additionally I had asked for the Tzatziki sauce on the side for both, no sauce was to be found. Taken individually I could understand a kitchen backup or running out of a particular drink or messing up the preparation of our food. But when so many things go wrong for what I thought was such a simple order it’s quite frustrating. This was my first experience at Greek Town, needless to say it wasn’t a great...
