This review is more so I can hopefully get the owners attention. I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap from here Sunday 11/22. When I received the wrap and opened it, it completely fell apart on me. The contents of the wrap fell on the table, on myself, and on the floor. I over looked that annoyance and tried eating it with a fork. The chicken in the wrap was cold a chewy and inedible. To be honest, from first glance I could tell it was made carelessly and with little to no effort. I called back and very calmly and kindly explained what the problem was and nicely asked for a refund. The âbossâ was put on the phone and it was down hill from there. He started off by telling me that he did me a favor by making me the wrap because it is not on the menu. He then proceeded to tell me that âitâs a wrap, they fall apartâ. No sir, all wraps do not fall apart. When I tried speaking he kept talking over me and that is when I became more stern. I guess he did not like that because when I tried explaining again that the entire wrap fell apart on me, he answered me with âwhat do you eat up in the air that it fell all over you and the floor?â What?!?? I became livid and again tried talking to the man who insisted on disrespecting me and speaking over me. I yelled so he would hopefully stop so we could resolve the issue and he hung up on me. I called back and got hung up on again. I called a 3rd time and had to speak to the âbossâ like a child and calmly ask again for a refund which I was told Iâd get. I have yet to receive my refund. When I called today 11/30, I asked to speak to who ever is in charge of refunds and I was told he would be in tomorrow at 12:30. I worked in a restaurant bar/pizzeria for 9 years. I have been in the customer service industry for 12 years, and never has anyone ever spoken to me like that. I know what it is like to work in a busy place, I understand the stress but never have I ever spoken to a customer like that, especially when the customer was nothing but kind and calm. I very much hope the boss is there tomorrow to issue me my refund. I now order from Turielloâs, they are so sweet and the food...

I recently ordered from Tarantella Pizzeria through DoorDash, and I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. First off, shoutout to the Ukrainian driver who was not only punctual but also extremely personableâhe confirmed every detail of my order with care, which gave me confidence right away.
Now, letâs talk pizza. I was very specific in my request: thin crust, extra crispyâthe kind of slice that would make Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports nod in approval. As the saying goes, âOne bite, everybody knows the rules.â Iâve ordered from Tarantella in the past and received a standard, thicker New York-style pie. It was goodâsolid evenâbut not in my regular rotation.
To be honest, I hesitated placing this order because my usual go-to spots are heavy hitters like Martioâs Brick Oven in Nanuet, The Nanuet Hotel, Mountain House, Rayâs Grandma Pizza, Pepeâs in Yonkers, and of course, Johnnyâs in Mount Vernon. These are all places that consistently hit the mark with one side pepperoni and onion and the other side meatball and onion.
But let me tell youâTarantella absolutely nailed it this time. The crust was beautifully thin and perfectly crisped, with that golden undercarriage that had zero flop, even after delivery. Thatâs no easy feat. The texture held up so well, it felt like it came fresh out of the oven straight to my table.
If Tarantella consistently makes pizza like this oneâcrispy, light, and well-balancedâtheyâll see their sales grow tenfold. This was hands-down the best pie Iâve had from them, and as someone with Calabrian roots, my standards are high and my palate isnât easily pleased. Dave Portnoy might have his Massachusetts upbringing, but for me, the bar is set by the depth of Southern Italian flavor and authenticity.
Tarantella, if youâre reading thisâmake this your standard recipe. Youâve won me over, and thatâs no small...
Read moreI've been a loyal customer of 20 years and was basically accused of taking advantage of the restaurant! The owner is a great guy, but his cousin or brother is unpleasant and incredibly rude. I suspect the other negative reviews about the customer service are about him.
Last night, as there was no server, I ordered up front with the "manager," requesting that my side of pasta be made with garlic and olive oil instead of tomato sauce. He immediately went off on me, complaining that the menu says it comes with tomato sauce and that I was ordering two dinners. I calmly said that I've ordered it this way from them for at least 10 years. He replied by saying we give you a finger and you take the whole hand! That is no way to speak to any customer, let alone one of 20 years.
I matter-of-factly said just to cancel the order, and as I went to get my things he continued angrily speaking in Italian to his colleagues, one can only assume about my request. I don't know if I can go back after this. I don't really want to return to a restaurant where I'm resented for a simple...
