This place has absolutely ruined me, I’m glad I was ignorant for 44 years about Italian desserts. I am from the west coast, so tiramisu, cheesecake, and cannolli are usually bland piles of sugar. At this place, they were so LEGIT!!! If anyone tries to sell me Italian-themed desserts that aren’t authentically made by Italian New Yorkers… they can go F themselves. And yes, I ordered all of them to go after dinner somewhere else. Don’t judge me. Came in to pick them up and the pies looked artisan, had to come back the next day for a slice and a Peroni. Most of the bad reviews on this place are about the staff/management having an attitude. Lmfao. You’re a stone’s throw from the city, being served by people speaking Italian and being their authentic selves… go back to your terrible culture with your horrible food. This place rocks.

Ordered food for my staff from this place and was charged 120 for what you see. They were told it was to feed 4 staff members and suggested a half tray. We recieved this with most of the Alfredo sauce out of the container. When we called to ask for it to be picked up for a refund we were told that we were playing games. I'd never order from here again. The person who called back to speak barely listened and over talked me the entire time. He seems like maybe he should be retired, maybe he doesn't have the patients for customer service anymore.

I had a cheese combo calzone with black olives, spinach, and broccoli. With decaf cappuccino. The food was pretty good! It was nice filling and satisfying. The cappuccino though $4 for a small to go 8 ounce cup (probably got 5 or 6 ounces) I wasn’t so happy or satisfied with. For that price I could of went to get a much larger size somewhere else. I felt like I swigged it in one or two gulps pretty much. The customer service was pretty good the guys there were very attentive and friendly.

This review is more so I can hopefully get the owners attention. I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap from here Sunday 11/22. When I received the wrap and opened it, it completely fell apart on me. The contents of the wrap fell on the table, on myself, and on the floor. I over looked that annoyance and tried eating it with a fork. The chicken in the wrap was cold a chewy and inedible. To be honest, from first glance I could tell it was made carelessly and with little to no effort. I called back and very calmly and kindly explained what the problem was and nicely asked for a refund. The “boss” was put on the phone and it was down hill from there. He started off by telling me that he did me a favor by making me the wrap because it is not on the menu. He then proceeded to tell me that “it’s a wrap, they fall apart”. No sir, all wraps do not fall apart. When I tried speaking he kept talking over me and that is when I became more stern. I guess he did not like that because when I tried explaining again that the entire wrap fell apart on me, he answered me with “what do you eat up in the air that it fell all over you and the floor?” What?!?? I became livid and again tried talking to the man who insisted on disrespecting me and speaking over me. I yelled so he would hopefully stop so we could resolve the issue and he hung up on me. I called back and got hung up on again. I called a 3rd time and had to speak to the “boss” like a child and calmly ask again for a refund which I was told I’d get. I have yet to receive my refund. When I called today 11/30, I asked to speak to who ever is in charge of refunds and I was told he would be in tomorrow at 12:30. I worked in a restaurant bar/pizzeria for 9 years. I have been in the customer service industry for 12 years, and never has anyone ever spoken to me like that. I know what it is like to work in a busy place, I understand the stress but never have I ever spoken to a customer like that, especially when the customer was nothing but kind and calm. I very much hope the boss is there tomorrow to issue me my refund. I now order from Turiello’s, they are so sweet and the food...

⭐ 8.5/10 – A Surprisingly Exceptional Pizza That Could Redefine Tarantella's Reputation

I recently ordered from Tarantella Pizzeria through DoorDash, and I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. First off, shoutout to the Ukrainian driver who was not only punctual but also extremely personable—he confirmed every detail of my order with care, which gave me confidence right away.

Now, let’s talk pizza. I was very specific in my request: thin crust, extra crispy—the kind of slice that would make Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports nod in approval. As the saying goes, “One bite, everybody knows the rules.” I’ve ordered from Tarantella in the past and received a standard, thicker New York-style pie. It was good—solid even—but not in my regular rotation.

To be honest, I hesitated placing this order because my usual go-to spots are heavy hitters like Martio’s Brick Oven in Nanuet, The Nanuet Hotel, Mountain House, Ray’s Grandma Pizza, Pepe’s in Yonkers, and of course, Johnny’s in Mount Vernon. These are all places that consistently hit the mark with one side pepperoni and onion and the other side meatball and onion.

But let me tell you—Tarantella absolutely nailed it this time. The crust was beautifully thin and perfectly crisped, with that golden undercarriage that had zero flop, even after delivery. That’s no easy feat. The texture held up so well, it felt like it came fresh out of the oven straight to my table.

If Tarantella consistently makes pizza like this one—crispy, light, and well-balanced—they’ll see their sales grow tenfold. This was hands-down the best pie I’ve had from them, and as someone with Calabrian roots, my standards are high and my palate isn’t easily pleased. Dave Portnoy might have his Massachusetts upbringing, but for me, the bar is set by the depth of Southern Italian flavor and authenticity.

Tarantella, if you’re reading this—make this your standard recipe. You’ve won me over, and that’s no small...

I've been a loyal customer of 20 years and was basically accused of taking advantage of the restaurant! The owner is a great guy, but his cousin or brother is unpleasant and incredibly rude. I suspect the other negative reviews about the customer service are about him.

Last night, as there was no server, I ordered up front with the "manager," requesting that my side of pasta be made with garlic and olive oil instead of tomato sauce. He immediately went off on me, complaining that the menu says it comes with tomato sauce and that I was ordering two dinners. I calmly said that I've ordered it this way from them for at least 10 years. He replied by saying we give you a finger and you take the whole hand! That is no way to speak to any customer, let alone one of 20 years.

I matter-of-factly said just to cancel the order, and as I went to get my things he continued angrily speaking in Italian to his colleagues, one can only assume about my request. I don't know if I can go back after this. I don't really want to return to a restaurant where I'm resented for a simple...
