I've always gone to this Starbucks, I have no problem with their drinks and all of their workers are always so kind. But I was disappointed with one of their workers today; I have never experienced a problem due to my race, but I received a backhanded comment about it from my server. I was with a friend who is for lack of a better term white, and I am not. We were ordering my food and she decided to use her partner numbers to get a discount, as she works at Starbucks. The barista who was taking my order decided to state that because we don't look alike we are not related-- that we cannot be family members; looking directly at me when addressing this statement. Although we are not related, what if who he said this to was someone who may be adopted, be half-siblings, step-siblings, cousins, etc? I was deeply hurt by this. How can Starbucks have employees which feel the need to state one cannot be related to another because their skin tones differ or they don't look alike? I never expected to be talked to like that or be addressed like that. I felt as if it was unnecessary and I was deeply hurt by this statement. This is not the first incident with this barista either, previously I had come with a group of friends and I was paying for all of us; I was quickly pulling my card out and the same worker decides to tell me to hurry up and that he does not have all day with a very rude tone. I am very deeply disappointed and hurt by...
Read moreI have been going to this Starbucks forever as I live 30 seconds away and haven’t had issues until recently. I’m not sure whether it is a reflection of having hired new staff or what, but every morning that I come and get a venti shaken espresso. In the past few weeks it has not been made correctly once and tasted completely different and bad. Considering I’ve been getting this drink since it came out I know what it should taste like. My other issue is that I always order ventis, and in the past few weeks every time I go in and my drink is waiting there, the first thing I notice is that there is a massive gap of which the cup is not filled up. every time for the last month there has been a quarter of the cup empty. I am paying for a Venti, which is not cheap nor is any other size, and I expect to have my drink filled for that reason. I never have time to complain as I am always on my way to make a train to work, but please take these issue into account and make the changes. It would be a shame to have to switch to a different starbucks after so many years
Edit- again, unsurprisingly at this point, my venti shaken espresso is not even close to being filled. I’ve gotten this drink for years and have never had this issue until recently. This is my cup after ONE sip. It seems I may have to switch to a different location since I’m...
Read moreSunday Jun12'16 about 10:45 am. They have 2 windows open and I stood and waited for my turn on window X.The lady on X kept taking from window Y and never said anything to me. So I said "This just sucks". The lady on X then said, "well, you're supposed to go around the bend, go to window Y, then X. I said "I don't see any arrow or sign that says that". Anyway, I finally got my drink after about 20min when I could have had it sooner and before the other customers. The fact is that not everyone that goes to this shop is local and knows the routine. Secondly, all Starbucks are set up differently. Thirdly, she doesn't have to sermon a customer. I already went to mass. Fourthly, a little customer service training would go a long way. Very bad...
