Giovanni Pizza - A Slice of Heaven! Our soccer team, the South Huntington Wolves, recently had the pleasure of dining at Giovanni Pizza in between games at a local soccer tournament. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by Jerry, the owner, who went above and beyond to accommodate our large group. The pizza was absolutely delicious, with a perfect blend of crispy crust and flavorful sauce. Each bite was a testament to the quality and care that goes into every pizza they make. The salad and pasta we ordered offered options that ensured everyone on the team found something they loved. Jerry's exceptional service truly stood out. He made sure we had everything we needed. His friendly demeanor and genuine interest in our experience made us feel right at home. Giovannis is my number one favorite Italian restaurant on the island. Waiters are attentive and check up on you throughout your meal. I always get the chicken parmigiana and it never fails to amaze me. The sauce, “stewed” as told by the waiter, bursts with flavor and you can actually taste the freshness of the spice and tomato. I am not a big fan of sauce slathered all over my chicken parmigiana, but their version proved to be exceptional. The garlic knots are fresh and sizzling with garlic falling off, they were absolutely delicious and flavorful with every bite. To end the special, we had cheesecake and coffee. I really like it here- the atmosphere is comfortable and the staff is friendly and attentive. We had stopped at another restaurant but it didn’t smell good and I just did not like the atmosphere or vibes so we got back in the car and turned around. We decided to go here and I had the chicken (Francese) special- a lot of chicken dish choices and it comes with salad, pasta, garlic knots, coffee and cheesecake! Everything was delicious and I must say the Francese sauce was impeccable! I also ordered shrimp cocktail and sautéed spinach, fabulous! The limoncello desert was wonderful!
