Me and my family was a loyal customer of Paris Baguette for 5 years, especially enjoying their cakes and pastries from the Edison branch. So when I found out they opened a branch in Plainview, I was excited and ordered a birthday cake for my best friend, who loves mocha flavor.
After placing the order, I called the store to confirm I'd pick it up at 7 pm instead of the 9 pm time shown on the app. They assured me the cake would be ready. But when I arrived at 7 pm, they told me someone had already picked it up at 5 pm and even accused me of sending someone else!
Initially, they refused to give me another cake unless I paid again. After a lot of arguing, they finally gave me a replacement cake, but it was terrible—nothing like the quality I expected. My friend’s birthday was ruined because of this mishap.
The management was unprofessional, and their customer service was terrible. Very disappointed with this experience. I will not be returning to the...
Read moreAs Paris Baguette customer. I have purchased cakes and bread from your store countless times. I have introduced friends and relatives to your store to buy. I have always believed that you are the best. But this Christmas, we feel very bad about your service. You have really disappointed your customers. We are in advance I ordered the cake a week ago and paid for it then. I told the cashier to pick up the cake at 9:00 on Christmas morning. She said OK. But when I went to pick up the cake this morning, the cashier said they didn't see my order for the cake. Are you kidding? What are you doing? No cake was prepared after payment. Do you want to mess up your sign? Unprofessional guidance from management and terrible customer service. We will not be returning to Plainview to buy cakes from here again. It's garbage. I hope you take every customer who is willing to spend money seriously. I hope your business will continue to be like this....

However, upon returning, I was informed that I had to wait 24 hours after the purchase to claim the free pastry. This was not communicated to me initially, leading to a frustrating experience.
Additionally, I'm concerned about hygiene practices. After handling the pastry, it was unclear whether they put it back on display or discarded it. This raises questions about their food safety protocols.
I am giving two stars because, despite being expensive, the coffee was okay. Improved clarity on promotional terms and better handling of food safety would greatly enhance the...
