I had been craving crepes, and my cousin suggested we visit this place. When we arrived, a young woman greeted us, showed us the menu and left. After looking for a while, I asked the guy standing waiting for us to order if we could add mango to a strawberry-banana crepe. He gave us a stern look and said, âThe menu cannot be changed.â We went ahead and ordered the strawberry banana crepe anyway, and when he asked if it was for here or to go, I clearly said âto stayâ and even tipped because we were dining in.
We sat down and after a while, the same guy returned with our food packed and in a bag for takeaway. My cousin and I were confused and told him again that we were eating here and that we had ordered to stay. He stuttered and said "you said to go" and then he awkwardly walked off without fixing it. Midway through our meal, the woman who had greeted us came over and adamantly insisted we could not eat there because our order was to go. We explained that it was for here and thatâs why we tipped. She then falsely claimed we had told her twice it was to goâwhich was impossible since she never took our order. When I pointed out that the guy had taken it, she seemed surprised and walked away.
What kind of establishment kicks out paying customers while theyâre in the middle of eating food they just bought there? And when the place was half empty? This was without question the rudest, most ill-mannered, and most uncomfortable dining experience I have ever had. The service was cringe, weird, dishonest, inhospitable, and completely unprofessional. I will never return, and no payinng customer should ever have to endure...
Read moreI was really excited to check out the new Mango Mango location in Plainview since Iâve been to the one in Flushing and always had a great experience there. Unfortunately, this visit didnât go as smoothly. When my boyfriend and I arrived, it was super packed, which we expected, but the seating situation was really unclear. We asked the cashier how long the wait would be for a table, and he just said, âIf you see someone get up, the seatâs available.â So we werenât sure if there was a waitlist or a dine-in process at all. Since it was crowded and we didnât want to be in the way, we decided to order our food to-go just to be safe. While waiting, we sat in a chair inside the store, and once we got our food and noticed a table was open, we figured weâd just sit and eat there. Thatâs when the cashier came over and told us we couldnât eat at the table since our order was to-go. He mentioned thereâs a policy that to-go orders canât be eaten at the tables, you have to dine in to dine in, basically. We asked if we could just switch our order to dine-in, but he said it was too late. The whole thing felt really confusing and a bit frustrating. We asked about seating from the start and werenât given any clear instructions. It wouldâve been helpful if the dine-in vs. to-go policy was explained upfront, especially with how busy and chaotic it was. The desserts were good, but the overall experience just felt disorganized. Hopefully, as the location settles in, theyâll improve communication and make things a bit more clear for customers. Weâd love to give it another shot, but it wasnât the smoothest...
Read moreI hate to be the person to leave a bad review but we had a terrible experience here. The desserts are great, the customer service is awful. We got here with the intent to dine in at around 8:45. We ordered at the counter and sat down at an open table. Not once were we asked if we were dining in or taking out. This was our first time here and assumed you order at the counter and take a seat. The young man who took our order asks what we ordered and informs us that ordering at the counter is take out and to dine in is a separate process. Cool. We let him know we werenât aware of this. Our order comes out in take out bags and while we are starting to try our desserts another female worker approaches us extremely aggressively telling us we were asked if we were taking out and we cannot dine in. Once again, we were never asked if we were taking out because then we would have said we would like to dine in! She then said the same to the table next to us. She approached us so rudely that we didnât even get the opportunity explain or come to an understanding. She leaves and comes back to apologize to the other table she confronted then turns to us and tells us (rudely, of course) we need to clean up after ourselves. We came to enjoy some desserts and try a new place, the treatment we received was unbelievable and unacceptable. Instead of confronting a paying customer management should work on training their employees properly. Truly disappointing since we were all so excited to try Mango Mango. Donât know how this business will run with such awful customer service. Safe to say we will...
