Ralph's Famous Italian Ices Farmingdale — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

I've been meaning to write this for months, but never got around to it.

I'm not reviewing the flavors or prices. We all know what Ralph's has on the menu and people have opinions. Love 'em, hate 'em. Too much sugar, too expensive. Whatever. I love 'em. Favorite flavor is Rainbow Cookie.

I'm writing about the staff. Absolutely the best! I've been to the Ralph's in Seaford and was treated rudely. Never going there again. I went to this Ralph's and was greeted by a big happy smile and welcome. We were offered samples of I think it was pina colada. The person who served us was telling how it was one of their favorites and how they used it in one of the desserts that Ralph's has. In addition to this person being very positive and just making us laugh, there was a woman there who I believe is the manager. We had asked her about an incident that had occurred there recently and about the woman who thwarted this thief. Turns out it was her! wish i could give zero stars. walked up to the window at 6pm on monday (labor day). no one else was there on line. had to wait a full 3 minutes before any of the workers asked what i wanted because they were too busy chatting with each other. ordered a sundae and the cup was only filled halfway with a dollop if ice cream and 90 percent peanut butter. tried to tell them i wanted less peanut butter sauce but again they were too busy chatting and it was too late by the time they noticed. thanks but never again. i’ll be taking my business anywhere but here. this place...

Got cappuccino flavor creme ice, and it’s delicious! I’m unsure what’s the fundamental difference between cream ice, water ice, and ice cream, but hey it’s tasty, sweet and cold, so nothing I’d complain about. Surprisingly open on Fourth of July. Still a line - guess it’s a pretty popular spot. $5 for a small cup of ice. Think it’s well worth it. Shop seems clean. Staff are friendly. There’s a bench outside as...
