Shrimpy's Burrito Bar - Massapequa Park — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Not so pleasant experience tonight. Stopped in about two o’clock this afternoon to order for a new mommy and daddy just home from the hospital. Lovely girl at the counter took our order for delivery between 6pm and 7pm. We prepaid over $50 in food and left a very generous tip for the delivery driver. Out comes who may be the owner barking at the help that there are no deliveries after 6pm because he “has lines all the way down front street.” I kept my composure, bit my lip and asked what was the latest he could deliver. He quite angrily replied 5:45 and despite the urge to cancel my order I agreed to keep the peace by saying that would be fine. No apology, no thank you and he stormed to the back of the store. Ohhh, you’re quite welcome sir, in case you simply forgot to show your appreciation for new business. And while I wish that was the end of this story, the delivery driver valiantly tried to collect the money for this tab which had been long before collected when we placed the order. Ohhh, and you’re welcome sir too, for the generous tip we left you that wasn’t enough to line your pockets. Massapequa residents for over 30 years... all the local Shrimpys hype deflated faster than you could say “special sauce” . Order was wrong,food mediocre.. giving one star because negatives are not an option. Thinking those lines down front street will dwindle fast If they don’t start showing a little appreciation for customers hard earned money and business. So many local choices. This one quickly fell off the list...

We were famished, and this was recommended not only on Google but other apps. The thing is....I'm sorry but this place isnt any good. Maybe an attempt of a upgrade from Chipotle, but chipotle might be considered fine dining compared to this. I am not hating on this place whatsoever, If I'm rating something it's either truly amazing and worth visiting or I'm genuinely passing my concerns as well constructive critisim and if it's terrible I'm doing my due diligence to save your money and time. I question on how anyone like it cause eveyone who ate from their, mutually agreed it wasn't enjoyable at all. My biggest issue; the burrito was mostly rice. And I mean mostly rice, with only two pieces of shrimp and a piece of steak. See I wouldn't mind normally but if I'm paying roughly for a 24$ for a burrito and a soda, there should be a wow factor at least or maybe some type of protein. Not to mention it has no flavor AT ALL and basically need every sauce to help give it life support, yet it still didn't manage to save it. So final verdict don't waste your...

I was really dissapointed, I don’t understand all these great reviews because when your spending all of that money to get 3 pieces of meat in a burrito it’s quite pathetic, the burrito is very put together and neat but I would never go there again for one due to the quantity of meat they put. Than the manager comes over after another young nice lady said she would accomadate more protein for our disappointment and she’s giving us a speech on 4+ dollars for extra protein in the future which I wouldn’t mind if i knew the burrito would satisfy me but in my opinion a 10 dollars burrito at chipotle or qdoba has more meat and I wouldn’t recommend them for there burritos, next time I’ll try a burrito with no rice or potato’s to see the quantity of meat they try to pull on me again, my girlfriends burrito was basically rice and beans luckily I ordered a Philly steak burrito mine was mostly potato’s and cheese 5 tiny...
