Do not deal with this company especially Gary and Ziggy. They are not knowledgable about the products they sell and lie. I ordered a Rolex with written down description, verbally confirmed description and deadline for the holidays. After the deadline passes by a day with no call. I call and the watch is ready. When picking it up the bezel looks different than the pictures I produced that go with the ordered description; specifically white gold fluted Rolex bezel (Rolex only makes fluted bezels in gold). Ziggy states the watch is an older model fluted bezel that hasnāt been polished. I still donāt agree but proceed with the purchase. I then had two reputable jewelers and research confirm that the bezel is āNotā gold and is āNotā even fluted but stainless steel and called āengine turnedā that Rolex stopped producing around 2003. I called the next day (30-40 min commute to store for me) and Gary tells me same line of lies as Ziggy and says to speak to him. Iām then told by josh that he has to call me back. I wait over 2 hours with no call back, I called again. Ziggy states same lies again. Important fact: the bezel on the watch was NOT ever made in gold so despite the jeweler confirmation it couldnāt be gold and he has no clue what an engine turned bezel is. After getting nowhere, stating he is real busy after he has $2,950 of my cash already I have to make demands. He is calling guy he got the watch from to see and will call me the following day by 1pm. At 2:40pm with no call, I travel to the store. Ziggy states āhis guy ā hasnāt gotten back to him and calls in front of me speaking in a foreign language. Still has no answer and after more back and forth with no concrete remedies or solutions being Christmas is in two days I get my money back, leave and exactly what I didnāt want to happen, happened. No watch two days before Christmas. This store, owners and employees all lie about their products, are not knowledgeable about them and provide possible the worst customer service in the retail industry I have ever experienced. Stay clear of Busy Bee Jewelry in Massapequa Park, NY. FYI: they do business online (EBay etc) as Garyās fine jewelry.
**Miraculously approximately 20 minutes after writing this review I received my first ever call from Ziggy stating "I have the correct bezel for the watch, that is how we left off." I assure anyone reading this that we did not leave off on a good note. I received my money, did not get any explanations or a sorry and left. Ā Anyway, I say ok so now the price is different because of all of this and he says no same price. Ā Being without a gift for the holiday I drove over 30 minutes again and purchased the watch. I received no explanation from them, what happened when they spoke to their supplier, who lied or was misinformed about the watch/bezel, no sorry for never returning my call and of course no compensation for 4 store visits, time to travel to the store and all of the misinformation/lying on their end. Days later I got an email that said they were still waiting for payment, even though I put it on a credit card. I sent them an email asking what is going on with my order and the next morning received an email back that it was getting ready for shipping, ( it could have been a complete coincidence.)
We left town for the holidays on December 19th with no tracking number, no information on delivery, and no notification that it was actually delivered. When I got back from my trip I opened the package and realized they had sent the wrong color ring!
Today I went to the store to return it. I was also shopping for a diamond and sapphire ring and worked with the saleswoman there for an hour to design a custom ring. At the end of working with her I started the process of returning the $49 ring. She gave it to the other man sitting there who turned out to be an owner. He told me it was too late to return this $49 ring because I was 3 days past the return 30 day return policy. I explained to him that the ring did not ship out and get to me in time and then I was in and out of the hospital over the holidays, even showing him my heart monitor. He would not budge and kept saying 'too late- you can't get your money back- that's policy'. Eventually he offered to give a store credit to apply towards my new ring.
After pushing back at him about his policy and how the store owner creates policy and explaining to him that the color that was sent to me was wrong, he spent the next 15 minutes trying to prove that that's the only color there is. I showed him on his website that there were many colors to choose from (which he did not take easily) and spent another 10 minutes researching on his computer to show me all the colors available, now arguing that the color I wanted doesn't exist. I would have been happy at that point if he had just switched and gave me the color that I thought I ordered. He said yes I can have it sent to you I will only charge you $10!!!!
Ok --That's when I grabbed the ring back and left the store and decided to write this review which I very rarely do. I have a Tissot watch that required a new band and battery so I brought the watch to Busy Bee because this store is a CERTIFIED TISSOT RETAILER. I brought the watch in on a Saturday and they indicated that they would order the band and call me when it was ready. I called the following Monday, over a week later, to check on the watch and it appeared they had forgotten about it. To make a very long sorry short, after visiting the store four (4) times and over six (6) phone calls later I finally got my watch back. I took me nearly ONE MONTH to get my watch back.
To make a bad situation worse, I had to call them to learn that my watch was ready! Despite the fact that this store had my contact information, they never contacted me a single time to update me on the status of the watch. I strongly feel that if I never followed up with Busy Bee I would have never gotten my watch back.
I found their service to be very unprofessional and untrustworthy. I will be contacting Tissot to complain...
