Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Town of Poughkeepsie

We stopped here for a late night dessert after rounding out my husband's birthday dinner. We both got one of the standard combinations but I switched out almonds for an almond joy. I was disappointed that the almond Joy was not broken up and I found it at the end of my serving in one large unchunked up piece. I would have preferred to have it broken up into smaller pieces but this was in keeping with watching them prepare servings for the people ahead of us. It didn't seem like they spent much time breaking up the extras into the ice cream. It definitely was not to the caliber I remember from the local marble ice cream mix in place of my childhood.

The bathroom was a one person and appeared to be the only one there. So after only a short time of being in there someone was already knocking to get in. It was generally clean but I was suspicious about how clean considering how busy they were and how close to closing it was so this was definitely a squatter. There was a touchless paper towel dispenser, a hand dryer, and soap dispenser which was not touchless. They did have the garbage can next to the door so I could use my paper towel to open the handle without having to be a basketball star to throw it away and not on the floor. I would pee here again.

This place is disgusting. There are flies in container where the bananas are and the manager and employees do nothing about it. I am very shocked to see this place is still up and running and when was the last time the health department came and checked this place? There’s only two girls working on very busy nights and they seem very stressed when the line is so long. The ice creams have other ice creams mixed into them which is not sanitary or okay. I just know the manager is bad at their job from what I see when I walk in there. The bathroom floor is disgusting as well. The only good thing I can say about this place is how fast and nice the workers are. Although I used to love going here and came frequently I will now stop going to this location and I hope everyone else does too because this place does not deserve to be in business with this disgustingly...

Don't come here. The one star is for the owner/location, not the guy who served us. I was there with one other person and there were 5 people in front of us. There was only one employee on a weekend afternoon. It took about 20 minutes for him to create each individual order, then ring them up all separately. I felt so bad - who schedules just one person in a hot store on a weekend? As we were waiting, about 10 people formed a line behind us. They should schedule one person to make the ice cream, and another to answer the non-stop phone and ring up the prices. Absolutely unacceptable because of the price. I feel bad for the worker. He made our ice cream as quick as possible and it was delicious. I hope he got every single dollar that was in the tip jar, and the establishment didn't take a penny. Don't come and...
