Meh is my feeling about this store. I like wine and hard liquor, my husband likes expensive bourbon. Itās a mile and a half from my house so itās convenient. Prices and selection are fine. Sometimes Iām asked if I need help, usually Iām not. Often, thereās a group of people behind the checkout socializing, and I canāt tell if theyāre employees or delivery people or vendors. The cashiers are usually friendly, but it would be nice if they provided a receipt every time without asking. Just because I canāt return something doesnāt mean Iām not entitled to a copy of the receipt. I went in today looking for a specific bourbon for my husband for Valentineās Day. Usually when I canāt find something in the aisle, I know itās behind the counter. I showed the cashier a screenshot of the storeās website, and he jokingly said āwell at that price, it should be in the aisle on the right side of the aisle, and if itās not, then itās on the left.ā I went back to the aisle. A different version of it was there, the version I was looking for was not. I walked back to the register, saw what I was looking for right behind the first cashier. Another cashier waved me over. I jokingly said that I politely disagreed with the first cashier that what I was looking for was in the aisle, and she said well, no actually, heās not wrong, the bigger bottles are in the aisle, and we have smaller bottles back here and she showed me a different (incorrect version), to which I responded for her to just please look behind him, the one that Iām looking for is literally right there. She turns. Oh hey, I was right. No acknowledgment that I was right. So I guess next time I want a $72 bottle of bourbon, Iāll drive down to Viscount or Arlington Wine & liquor. The reward program here is a joke; I spend several hundred dollars a year and Iām lucky to get a dollar or two off every so often. If the employees are too busy socializing and donāt even know what they stock, Iāll just spend my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever will I shop there in the future. I walked up to the counter to pay and there are three men behind the plexiglass counter. I hear a faint, āI can help you over hereā. So I walk forward and not being sure who said it I say , āwhere?ā They both speak at once so I ask for clarity again and I guess that made me stupid and the smart mouth man with a short sleeve black tee shirt and glasses whoās very pound and sure of himself says, āover there where no one isā, and points to the empty counter to his right where there is no cashier and laughs. Thereās some fierce tapping on his register keys and inside joking between the cashiers and loud chuckles. As I leave I hear him make a snarky comment about ātearing Phoebe apart with her bare handsā, whatever that means. Insulting a customer is kind of mean donāt you think? If you like that sort of thing I guess heās your guy. Iāll...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place had reasonable priced bottles (like Viscount) when they first opened then they started jacking the prices up (I went back to Viscount). Now, they are closed. Everytime we go to ShopRite there is always someone trying to get in because this business left their lights on so people think it is open when it is not. I saw a lady the other day trying to get in, she was stepping around the front doors waiting for them to open lol they never did. There is no sign of anything telling customers what happened. I guess you gotta be Facebook friends (Facebook sucks). So yeah this place is closed...
