The Shoppes at South Hills — Local services in Town of Poughkeepsie

I visited Best Buy, bringing my laptop in for repair. I appreciate that you can make an appointment to drop off and pick up your item for repair at the Geek Squad counter, that way you don't have to stand there and wait for help. They bring you into an area you have your own table with a technician to go over what's happening with your device. They assess it, give you the price for what they believe needs to be done, then complete the paperwork, tag your device and power cord, and schedule your appointment to pick up your device. It all went very smoothly with no waiting involved. I dropped off my laptop on Tuesday the day following New Year's Day and I was told it would not be ready before Friday. So far the process went smoothly, but I feel the turnaround time could somehow be less...

This plaza, which most of us remember as the South Hills Mall had really run down and grimy, with low rate stores constantly opening & going out of business, and frankly a low rate clientele of patronizers & employees. However, I recently visited to shop a sale at Hobby Lobby and was genuinely surprised and impressed at the comprehensive improvement. Thier's a classy massage therapy spa, gym/sports store, a bunch of new stores I don't know the names of because I'm not trendy ...and the architecture itself is all newly built or profoundly renovated/improved, it looks clean, well lit, and inviting, as well as having a very large parking lot with pavement intact and in good condition. Definatly a successful makeover! I have no reluctance to shop...

Shop-rite has always been my favorite place to shop, even though I live in the city of Poughkeepsie. But many are the reasons why it is my favorite place to shop. One and formost is that the store always has a big variety of items, very important to me, and I believe to everyone else as well, on sale. A different variety every week. It feels good to go back home satisfied and know you still have extra bucks in your pockets. Different times I have had the opportunity to talk to one of the managers, and expressed exactly that kind of feeling. And also told him, on different occasions, "May God bless Shop-rite."
